The last Cosmetic unlock just by playing Halo I can remember is Completing Halo MCC fully on Legendary and getting Helioskrill armor in Halo 5 just for them to put it in REQ packs anyway

Yes shooting them in the orange on the back has been since 2001, but he is clearly talking about the little device under the armor panel, all he’s saying is it’s basically a Crit damage point hidden under the back plate

We've been fighting Hunters WRONG in Halo Campaign Evolved.

The back plate guarding the weak spot is very frail. Even on Legendary, just a handful of shots is enough to break it off.
