DLHS had amazing participation today for Unity Day! Unity Day was started in 2011 to send a visible message of building community through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying. Students and staff wear orange to show their support for bullying prevention.

At the beginning of the month, the Unified P.E. class had a field trip to a Unified Bowling Activity in Moorhead, MN, at Sunset Lanes. Five schools participated in this Unified Activity.

ICYMI: I’m blown away but the students and staff at DLHS. I think all schools should have a Unified Club if possible. It’s an opportunity to step out of your own shoes and gain perspective. Congrats to the four bowlers who made it to state. State tournaments are for everybody!
