We have found winter injury on bermudagrass in Raleigh area. North-facing slopes, shade lines, wet soils, and traffic patterns are the only places showing injury. Classic case. For warm-season grasses, the struggle continuesโฆ.and BTW, 53 degrees this morning.
From the NC State Climate Office. May weather summaryโฆ.statewide average temp is 64.4F. That is 2.5 degrees below the 30 year average. Warm-season grasses continue to struggle.

Not completely surprised when it didnโt happen even though phenomenal course conditions despite tough weather but Koepka came through.
With the cold arctic air gone, now comes the fun stuff. Uncovering, blowing and relocating 1200 bales of pine straw. Going to get the course open for the nice weather Friday before the next set of rainy days settle in.
