Minister Mzwanele Nyhontso together with the Eastern Cape Provincial Shared Services Centre (PSSC) and Regional Land Claims Commission (RLCC) offices during a stakeholder engagement meeting to inform land beneficiaries and claimants on the progress of their land claims.
The meeting also deliberated on issues of raising awareness on fraudulent activities related to land claims and also offered a mobile service on the Commision on Restitution Land Rights Mobile Office.
Land claimants were also able to check the status of their claims during the meeting by using their reference number.
The minister was joined by the Mayor of Mnquma Local Municipality Councillor Tunyiswa Manxila-Nkamisa, MMC of Amathole District Municipality Councillor Bukelwa Madikwane and other local traditional leaders.

Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development Mzwanele Nyhontso has arrived in Centane under the Mnquma Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape for an engagement session with land claimants andand reform beneficiaries.
The objective of the engagement is to provide the attendees with information on the status of their land claims which were lodged between 1995 and 1998, inform the the public of the update on the LAMOSA Judgement, provide feedback on payment delays on existing land claims and also give the latest update to claimants who lodged their land claims in 2014.
