Taking a break from Schwalb Entertainment games. Started running High Noon at Midnight - a weird west game powered by the Cypher System. So far, it's been a blast!
@newbiedm One of the core problems, as I see it, is that they design the game with too much emphasis on player options. They need to stop giving players so many options to nerf everything the GM can throw at them and make monsters scary again.
@newbiedm They are fundamentally different games. As the guy stated, one comes from a position of weakness (AD&D) where anything could potentially kill you regardless of level, while the other comes from a position of strength (5E) and the characters. Even my 3E game has this difference.
@newbiedm@mikemearls Yes, itโs one of the Demon Lord Engine (DLE) games. This is the first one that Schwalb has included a magic system for and is specific to SotRM. Interested to see how he handles it with his other DLE games (Abaddon, Godless, etc).
I ran Shadow of the Red Moon - Fate of the Forgotten this last week. This is a game in the Demon Lord Engine line of games from Schwalb Entertainment, home of Shadow of the Demon Lord and Shadow of the Weird Wizard. Here's my recap of our session: https://t.co/fqw9erJdKM
