More and more consumers are flocking to installment loans rather than credit cards. This is a very interesting step to address that market while giving the flexibility of a credit card.

Considering that cash still rules a lot of the economy this is a huge play by Amazon. If bankers didn't see them as a threat before, now with cash and bringing the unbanked into the fold Amazon is a force to be reckoned with.
