The zero sum game mentality it is the core misconception that leads to collectivism (the state should divide the pie) and authoritarianism (I should divide the pie) over capitalism (we should bake more pie) 🥧
@GrindeOptions I don’t bother with price targets. I just accumulate when I think one of the 2-5 world changing company that I have followed closely is grossly undervalued and if they are all about right I accumulate broad market index funds instead.
@InvestingAddict I think that Tesla and SpaceX both would continue and be profitable without Elon, they would still be way ahead of the curve, would be less ambitious and it would just take them 4-5x longer to make the impossible late.
@SparkingFIRENC@DadisFIRE Define “fail”? If you hit your target but later than expected due to some setback(s), is that a “fail”? O no, you would still be much better off than most people…how tragic.
@TesLatino@Mynorthwest Chances this was a case of the operator stepping on the accelerator: 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999%
@MyTeslaMoonship If you’re going to eat crickets I’m thinking that wasabi, Cajun, or Sriracha flavor would be preferable to plain but I’d still take a black coffee and pain crickets over flavored coffee.
@TalosDreams@TeslaPatriot@Tesla It take a different mindset but once you make the adjustment most people will find that in total it’s more convenient and that they only really think about it when trying to explain it to someone.
Everyone who is interested in maximizing battery life and range should use the “End Charging By” option and the “precondition by” settings in the Set schedule tab on the @Tesla app.
“End Charging By” minimizes time your car spends at your charging limit.
“Precondition by” uses house power to condition the interior and reduces how hard the HVAC system needs to work reducing power consumption on your drive.
These two settings likely will make more of a difference than where you set your daily charge level (60 - 90%)
@oi8achevy@TeslaPatriot@Tesla when it’s cold out:
-charging before departure likely improves battery life slightly
- charging on arrival likely reduces total electric usage
Any difference is likely in the noise and negligible, and you should probably do what works best for you.
@TeslaPatriot@kedlinco@Tesla@TeslaService They could avoid all of this by nothing that the “Price estimate shown is if caused by misuse, abuse, or otherwise not covered by warranty”
@SparkingFIRENC Your Health > Family > Recreational Activities > Employers
You can’t do anything for anyone if you don’t stay reasonably healthy.
@mikepat711 Bet you that almost all of the rain is short downpours in the afternoon…we call those pop up afternoon thunder showers and they are typically for June-August.
