The only Fusion Junior not pictured is Marianna who was singing with the advance choir. I love them dearly and I will miss these incredible Juniors. They were my dream team! 🧡🖤

These Juniors! 3 of the 6 Junior Marshalls were Fusion Dancers. (That means they are the top of their class)
Christina is a Sargent Major and Special Projects Officer, as well as a Fusion Dancer, and lead the presentation of colors.

This week middle school dance and Dance 1 is learning about the 107 #HBCUS across the nation leading to some enlightening conversations about what it takes to get into college and the cost of college... don’t worry there’s a part 2 to this lesson 😉

This #okfa was a particularly emotional one. It was so fulfilling to sit on the side of the stage and watch how people walking past stopped and were impressed with all the #melaninmagic happening on stage. Fusion, Dance 3, and Adaptive Dance did such an incredible job yesterday.

Success has so many definitions, and to me I know my time at Douglass has been a success. Not because my dancers are the best (yes, I know they’re great!) but because the dancers are empowered with their own creative voice.
