There will be constraints on the seeds you plant today. The conditions and the right attitude will make the difference to the eventual outcome.
The seed principle of growth in the words of our Managing Partner @telemaspeaks#dmpadvisory#knowledgecapital#growth@leadership
A trillion dollars economy is an ambitious target to attain by 2030. There's a lot such a target would ride on to be realised. A viable sports industry can be a part of that story.

There's a thin line between harnessing our most important resources and our emergence as Africa's top manufacturing hub for sporting goods and services.

Nigeria's diverse resources - human, mineral & natural resources when adequately developed, can transform the country into Africa's leading gym equipment manufacturing destination & a globally competitive market.

3 key activities - political and economic in nature - present a huge opportunity for the Industrialisation of sports in Nigeria.
The argument? Sports should be one of the primary end uses for Nigeria's extractive industries.

Insightful read. Sports being a driver for the entire value chain (from mining/manufacturing/production to consumption) is a blatant heavyweight contributor to the GDP target, as it can also create opportunities for the manufacturing of other non-sport products we can export.
@NGRPresident set an ambitious target to grow the country's GDP to $1 trillion by 2030. The govt is also pushing for local processing of mineral resources before export.
Can an uncounted sector like sports become an end-use to realise the ambitions?

@SundayDareSD made an audacious & ambitious statement. "Sports will drive the largest real estate development in Nigeria."
Sports should not be viewed in isolation of its cross-sectoral relationship with other industries - real estate & construction included.

We often argue that sports development hinges on physical infrastructure - stadia, arenas, community and school sports facilities. But that's only one piece. Building sports as a true identity requires the following:

An industrialised sports economy can accelerate growth & development in Africa through services - the systems & infrastructure required to turn passion into productivity & potential into GDP.
We're all in on closing that gap, because when sports industrialises, everybody wins.
@DMPartnersBA@telemaspeaks As sports-led disruptions increase economically (infrastructure, education, manufacturing etc), we would see that "adjacent markets" actually refer to all markets. DMPartners have the experience and expertise to lead consultations in this regard and I'm excited about it.
Still an emerging sector, but we are building an enterprise to take a front row seat in defining a production-focused and investable outcome for the sports ecosystem in Africa.
Our co-founder and Managing Partner @telemaspeaks puts it concisely.
