@ArmyMedServices @af_candid@Cancer_WarriorD @AMSCorpsSM @AMSCorpsCol A few years ago when she became ill I was working with Mandy. She was busy doing three things, getting better, living her life and making sure Defence could support everybody who became seriously ill. A hugely impressive person who will be missed.
@Paramedic_Stu @DMS_MilMed We are looking at maximising what everybody can do! I’d like to see a full range of clininical and administrative staff, military and civilian, working at the top of their licence and with a career in Defence that allows them all to progress and maximise their talents.
#JFCYearInReview: @jHubDefence has been at the apex of some amazing innovations in 2018, developing solutions to problems our forces face on the battlefield. Some examples of their work in Military Medicine are shown in the attached animation.
Met with staff from @DMS_MilMed, discussing all that they achieved in a very busy 2018, and what they can expect over the next year. I'm incredibly proud of their work in #JFC and the support they provide across UK Defence, both at home and overseas. #OneJFC
Defence primary healthcare in the UK is designed to prepare our personnel for delivering healthcare overseas. The Defence Healthcare Delivery Optimisation (DHDO) programme team were keen to visit the sick bay on HMS Diamond to learn about the challenges faced on operations.
DHDO, the Defence Primary Healthcare transformation programme, will begin a yearlong pilot trial in April at 8 sites in the south region. The DHDO team visited the sites last week and were impressed by the enthusiasm to improve the standard of healthcare in the region.
