The referee issued second yellow cards and red cards to Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucouré following an altercation after the final whistle.
Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff were also shown straight red cards after the final whistle.
When is the question going to be raised how FG and FF have destroyed families lives with housing, poverty, education and caring for the needs of the people of ireland. #TheBigInterview
This image is from @CoachingManual which I found on @coachtonymee timeline. I love the simplicity.
Some thoughts…
Whenever coaches think about these and design sessions related to them…they would do well to consider three mental skills that are constantly influencing player ability to perform them…
1. Attention: are players focused and connected to cues related to the principle being practiced? Can you guide their attention as they engage in your activity?
2. Intensity: mental activation - are players ready and alert to act on cues related to the principle being practiced? Can you help them find their optimal mental intensity as they engage in your activity?
3. Intent: direction of energy - are players playing with energy forward? Can you help them execute actions and interactions related to principles in a purposeful, positive, proactive way?
Mindset can be taught and practiced while working on these simple principles of play…
Want to Improve as a Coach?
One of the most powerful tools for my development: writing things down. ✍️
🔹Write down your thoughts after training.
🔹Write down your Game Model.
🔹Write down questions that might arise during training.
However:
❌ The goal isn’t to just have something written down.
❌ It’s not about writing a book or creating a perfect document.
Understand this: Most of what you write will change, and a lot of it you’ll never look at again.
🔹Your Game Model will evolve and adapt.
🔹Many of your notes will you will never revisit.
🔹Your views will change on most of what you write.
So, why bother writing things down?
Because the real value lies in the writing process itself:
✅ Writing clarifies your thinking.
✅ Writing helps you solve problems.
✅ Writing deepens your understanding.
It’s not about writing a book.
Writing is a tool for your mind. 🧠

9. Catch them doing well
10. Set realistic targets
A big thank you to @MaryLouMcDonald for raising Harvey’s case today in the Dáil. As we kind of expected, @SimonHarrisTD had nothing of real substance to say, but what I did not expect is the absolute disrespect and lack of basic manners while speaking to you about something of such great concern. The way he stood with his hand in his pocket and chose to argue with you and try score points instead of properly address the issue was just inexcusable.
A massive thank you also to @MickBarryTD @WhitmoreJen@Toibin1@paulmurphy_TD who also raised Harvey’s case and the scoliosis crisis today, we appreciate the continued support ❤️

I don’t want my taxes going to subvent greyhound racing by €19 million per year.
I want my taxes to fund *our brilliant athletes* who have done us proud in Paris,
