PlayStation’s CEOs since Jim Ryan, and all the way to Nishino and Hermen Hulst have ruined the image of an iconic brand and made the worst decisions possible, and now they’re trying to penalize players for their failure🚀
✅They’re distant attitude towards fans have been going for years, when they stopped doing any live events or major appearances at E3 and the likes, which took away so much from the sense of communication with fans
✅Maintaining a cold and purely corporate approach towards fans
✅Forced studios into a failed live-service chase, leading to cancelled projects, erratic studio closures, and massive resource waste.
✅Acquiring and shutting down many studios in the last few years before they had the chance to produce anything
✅Overspent on acquisitions and projects, notably a $3.7 billion investment in Bungie and an estimated $400 million loss on Concord.
✅Barely any innovation with games, as they rely on 4 main brands for new entries, and remakes and remasters of them
✅Increased prices for PS Plus and hardware while the output has been abysmal
✅Now they’re trying to force a digital-only future where much of this corruption and incompetence will be amplified
✅They are using manipulated data to engineer this narrative that physical games are a niche market, by calculating DLC, MTX, digital only and free-to-play as “digital purchases”. Whole global physical sales for games tell a whole different story
✅64% of the world has no dedicated PS Store, meaning 64% of the world will not be able to legally acquire video games per Sony’s terms
✅Games that consist of a code in a box are region locked too
✅Ditching physical media means no competition, no options, pricing hikes and reliance on the mercy of a storefront and its functioning networks, and their support team in case issues occur
These CEOs need to go. Sony needs a team that is passionate about video games rather than vultures or feed off the blood of gamers to appease their shareholders alone.

Sony faces lawsuits in US, UK, Mexico, Netherlands and Portugal for alleged anti-competitive practices in five countries, arguing that a digital-only future reduces competition, and gives PlayStation greater control🚀
If Sony refuses to listen to fans, then make them listen through boycotts and appeal to your governments to show them that they aren’t above the law💪🏼

Sony is now being sued in five countries over claims that it has too much control over digital game sales on PlayStation.
The lawsuits, filed in the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Portugal, and Mexico, argue that because Sony is the only company allowed to sell digital PlayStation games through the PlayStation Store, it can keep prices higher and give players fewer choices.
It’s really sad watching Sony destroy its own legacy and reputation before our eyes🚀
For as long as I’ve been gaming, Sony PlayStation was always synonymous with gaming and fun, and yet somehow this generation was a colossal disappointment, and ending physical games is the nail in the coffin
✅Abysmal first party line-up
✅Barely any innovation
✅Risk-averse development
✅Little communication
✅Condescending attitude towards fans
✅Pushing for live service and failing
✅Acquiring studios, including Bungie, and then shutting many down, or producing nothing of value even years later
And now the future with PS6 looks like:
✅Speculated overpriced ~$1000 console
✅Likely years of cross/gens like PS5
✅No ownership
✅No physical discs
✅Potentially higher prices
✅A monopoly is seemingly in the making
✅Region locked codes in boxes
✅Playing at the mercy of a digital storefront and its network capabilities, customer support and “access” that can end at any time without compensation
I don’t think there’s a way back for Sony to earn back the respect they’ve lost, no matter what they do with PS6.
Unless they overturn the decision against physical games, fire their CEOs and apologize, and maybe even then many people will still feel skeptical because they really showed us who they are, and there’s no “sorry” to undo seeing the truth.
And this doesn’t make me happy, because a staple in gaming, whether it makes money or not, has lost its untouchable status and near universal respect and love, with their own hands.

Don’t let Sony’s words demotivate you from fighting for physical games and protection of your right to own what you buy🚀
It’s not over. We have until January 2028
Vote with your voice, your wallet, your boycotts, and your constant pressure for what’s right for gaming as a whole.
This isn’t just about CDs or PlayStation, it’s about being able to play video games without being at the mercy of a digital storefront, their network status and licensing.
It’s about owning the games you buy and accessing them forever.
What we heard today was one of a series of moves Sony is doing directly and indirectly to demoralize and demotivate any push back.
WE WILL NOT GIVE UP💪🏼
Stand up for gaming and gamers

Capcom confirmed that PRAGMATA sequel likelihood is high due to strong sales🚀
“Pre-release marketing and the appeal of its main character, Diana, helped drive sales of the sci-fi action-adventure game.
The likelihood of a sequel is high”
What do you want to see in a sequel?😎
One month since Sony announced their plan to end l physical games starting January 2028, and the relentless worldwide pushback that followed, with no acknowledgment from Sony🚀
Ending physical games will affect digital games too. Why? Because:
✅Digital games can be removed from the store at any time for any reason without compensation
✅64% of the world has no dedicated PlayStation Store
✅No second hand market or trading
✅PlayStation has been testing dynamic pricing and will start regional pricing as of August 20, both of which will lead to higher prices for games
✅There is no way to switch region of a PlayStation Store, and therefore, per Sony’s terms, if you move to another country, you might need to create a new local account a repurchase all your games, if you wanna use a local credit card
✅Physical games no disc, and a with code in the box require a store of the same region as the code
✅Reliance on internet connection, network status and digital licenses all can be setbacks in being able to access games
✅Losing access to your account due to ban or hack will cost you all the games you bought and PlayStation support have proven to be completely inefficient in that regard
This should not happen. And gamers need to stop fighting each other over XBOX or PlayStation, digital or physical, and focus on fighting for what’s rightfully yours.
Digital or physical, if you buy a game, it should be yours and you should be able to access it at any time anywhere
We won’t give up!

For several years now, Sony Interactive Entertainment has continued to grow further apart from its fan base🚀
Whether it's closing beloved studios like Bluepoint, pursuing a misguided live-service strategy, canceling fan events, leaving PS VR2 to die, or being completely out of touch with the franchises players want to see return, PlayStation has never felt more disconnected from its community.
Ending physical discs in 2028 feels like the last straw. We understand there is only so much SIE can control, but with the decisions that are within its control, the company continues to mismanage the strong position it inherited from the PS4 era.
There are so many issues with PlayStation right now that bringing back physical games would only be meeting players halfway. There is still much more SIE can do.
We miss Twisted Metal, SOCOM, Sly Cooper, and Resistance. We miss PlayStation Experience. We miss Japan Studio.
With that, we are calling on PlayStation players to participate in an economic and gameplay blackout.
Start/End dates:
🗓️Sunday, August 23-30
⌚️7:00 PM local time
Players can participate by turning off their consoles or logging out for seven days. We feel that this period gives publishers and developers minimal impact while still giving players a voice.

The downgrade didn’t happen overnight🚀
✅First, the manual disappeared
✅Then the map
✅And then the disc
✅Gameplay became more passive
✅Ownership became a “license to access”
✅Second hand market is disappearing too
Somehow, the price kept going up, and the vilification of gamers as “toxic” and “entitled” became louder as gaming became less about gamers and more about the industry backpatting that is totally detached from reality and gaming audiences.
But we don’t have to be silent
You WANT their games
But they NEED your money
So put your money where your wants are respected
Your enemy is not your fellow gamer, but whoever wants the most of your money for less and less quality

Meanwhile, those who are creatively and morally bankrupt, have no respect for gamers, a track record for disappointment and seeing games as merely a business, have been against physical games and pro-Sony’s predatory digital-only monopoly future.

25 days since Sony announced their draconian plan to end physical games🚀
✅Starting monopoly
✅Taking away player choice
✅Removing any sense of ownership
✅Ending trading/second hand market
✅Paving to raise prices on a whim
✅Leaving players who paid for a full purchase at the mercy of a storefront, internet connection, unreliable network functionality, licensing deals and an incompetent support team in case of hack or ban
And still no statement or acknowledgement towards the worldwide push back, and using cowardly means to demoralize and discourage valid concerns
