Yesterday, I had the honour of meeting His Excellency Daniel Francisco Chapo @daniel_chapo24, President of the Republic of Mozambique, @PresidenciaMoz, on behalf of @_ARIPO.
I reiterated ARIPO’s strong and valued partnership with Mozambique, a Member State dedicated to regional cooperation and advancing Intellectual Property across Africa.
Mozambique’s vision of Renovar Moçambique aligns with key priorities shaping the continent’s future: stability, institutional reform, industrialisation, investment, private-sector expansion, and inclusive growth.
At ARIPO, we see Intellectual Property as a vital strategic tool for transforming knowledge, creativity, and innovation into economic value. We remain committed to supporting Mozambique’s efforts toward sustainable prosperity and industrial development.
The buzz around innovation at #ZITF2025 underscores how vital intellectual property rights are across all economic sectors.
ARIPO's Director of Business Transformation and Development, Ms. Cookie Phirinyane @nkgare, had brief separate exchanges on these and other topics with Hon. Christopher Mutsvangwa, Zimbabwe's former Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, and Commissioner Aleck Ncube of the Zimbabwe Media Commission.
