.@montbaseball's @WyattClewett is an on-base machine, and once he's on, he can swipe a bag in a heartbeat. Clewett has an on-base percentage of .500 and 17 stolen bases this season to go along with 5 HRs and a batting average near .400. Clewett is headed to @BaylorBaseball next year and is our @ParkerUniv MVP.

Congrats to Annabel Morris for competing at the THSWPA State Meet yesterday. Love the fight in this kid! Got down early, but battled all day to finish the meet with a 525 total!
Happy National Athletic Training Month! The THSCA wants to thank and recognize every athletic trainer out there who keeps athletes safe and healthy year-round! We appreciate all y'all do! 🖤💛💪
Many may not want to hear this but it’s 💯 % the athlete’s responsibility to ensure they are fueling, hydrating, and sleeping properly heading into game day.
No one can force anyone to do anything.
We are each responsible for controlling our controllables.
There’s so many athletes given every resource and tool but often they don’t use those tools or apply them consistently.
The lack of follow through in
Nutrition, Recovery, Sleep and Hydration WILL eventually catch up with the student athlete who won’t be an athlete forever.
Failing to fuel and take care of the body will eventually impair performance, Injury and illness risk, muscle and bone density, and overall training adjustments.
If you’re a student-athlete wanting to compete at the next level in college let alone “go pro” you should leave absolutely nothing up to chance.
Take care of your controllables! Habits built in youth are carried into adulthood.
