少し捕捉するけど、英語では"magnificent bastard"は不本意ながらも感服の念が強すぎて表現せざるを得ない場合に使う褒め言葉です。
映画『パットン大戦車軍団』では「敵ながらあっぱれ」みたいな意味合いで使われていた。
戦国の世を傾き通した前田慶次にはぴったりと思ってた。

@THEAnimeHERO So in that sense, "The Magnificent Bastard" is closer in intent to the original title than the word-for-word translation. It's definitely taking liberties to be more eye-catching but I think that liberty really fits the series.

@THEAnimeHERO Just want to point out, "Keiji of the flowers" is a bit of a mistranslation anyway. The Japanese phrase "hana no" is an idiomatic expression meaning "beautiful" or "magnificent," for instance Paris is often referred to as "hana no miyako," or the beautiful city.
