I think these are all good except the one about family. Generational trauma is real and unless healing happens for all involved, it is okay to distance oneself from family who disrespect boundaries and deny trauma
@bodycourage Happy to see that you are surrounded by those who will want the best for you. Totally different note, my 11 year old loves you on Ghosts and she recently spotted you in the AT&T commercial and squealed, "It's Alberta!"

"The world prefers women to be smaller...
I have seen girls contort themselves
into trinket boxes, smaller jeans..."
"Disappearing Act" -- Maria Ferguson (@kerdonk)
Wow--this poem, so much truth.
Dear Women, take up space!
Today marks the start of my 9 day break from seeing clients and my 15 day break fromm teaching. I get to sit under my beautiful tree and listen to music and reflect on the blessings in my life, not the least of which is training the next generation of MFTs. @NorthcentralU
Daughter's spelling list this week. I know it is a small thing but the normalization of mental health care is a big step in the right direction. And yes, she got it right on the first try. #hermomisatherapist#MentalHealthMatters
#NCUGrad2021 The Marriage and Family Sciences faculty celebrates the SSBS grads in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Social Work. May you go on to change the lives of those you work with as you stand in the gap. @NorthcentralU
@NCarrillo2000 My husband and I met Adam and Jamie on their last Mythbusters tour. Adam saw my husband's Star Wars shirt and gushed over it,took a picture and posted it. He was beyond kind, genuine and the total culmination of this geek girl's long time celebrity crush @donttrythis
@RawBeautyKristi Look into SNRIs instead of SSRIs, they have better effects on anxiety. I am a therapist (20 yes experience) who works a lot with anxiety. Feel free to PM me to discuss options you can explore
Best part of my job hands down is the moment I get the tell a doctoral candidate that they passed their defense and I call them Dr. for the first time. Not in 10 years have I ever not teared up. Doing the hard things well is the peak of pride in oneself
The research team I am part of at @NorthcentralU is conducting a study on client's perceptions of online therapy. Participants will be compensated for their time. Please consider helping us learn about how best to do online therapy.
