@KeillerDon Because most of that global decline is not forest wildfires becoming rarer or milder. It is tropical savannas & grasslands (esp Africa) burning less because of agricultural expansion, land-use intensification & reduced traditional burning.

@Clarsonimus Correct until the last sentence. CO2 induced warming is affecting the jet stream, causing it to be more wavy, which causes weather abnormalities, including “blocking”, where weather patterns fail to move on so quickly. See Jennifer Francis’ work
