@Wheatbiscuit96 @mancunianmedic Sadly the terminology is all wrong. We would be better to use “allow natural death” rather than DNAR. When the process and outcomes of resuscitation are explained to the frail, multi-morbid patient they are often aghast that any one would even contemplate CPR.
@HABwholefoods @GasBagAndy @MFTnhs@sodexho V glad that common sense has prevailed & the Trust & Sodexo have sensibly avoided upsetting their hard working staff. Banana 🍌 skin avoided! 😜
That’s a day of my life I won’t get back. Even the tracking app to enable me to get a status update on the car was on strike and even went backwards at one point!! Worst customer service in over 30 years of being a car owner. Get it together @LookersSkoda
Took my kodiaq in for a service today at @LookersSkoda Stockport. 1 thing I didn’t get was service. dropped it off prior to-booking before 10 am “we’ll get done as quick as possible”….. “it will be ready by 3pm…. Eventually returned to me at 4pm. No explanation or apology 😤
Day 6 of the #greatMFTMarcothon2021@CSScritcare completed. Just shy of 111 km on my spinning bike so far. I’d love to run but dodgy knee isn’t good for it. It was a struggle at the start (my icu week) but managed to stick to the programme. Keep it up all you marcothoners!
@SurgeryHPB@mysurgeryandme@MFT_MRI in ICU, always delighted to see Jim coming to review sick patients. Straight talking, a voice of reason & common sense. Nothing was too much trouble. Rightly held in very high esteem by colleagues & patients. Set the bar v.high. Happy retirement Jim
Well done to both MFT sites (MRI and wythenshawe) for the contribution to the HOT-ICU study, and all the international ICUs entering patients into this important trial. It’s being presented today. #eCCR21@CSScritcare @BodilSRasmussen
@David_S_85@cywinski_tom As an ICU Cons often in ED I doth my cap to all ICU, ED... No all nurses. For those with no concept of it, think WW1 no mans land, hand-grenades going off nearby, whilst wrapped up like a kebab at 40 degrees and an octopus attached to your face. now double it for hours at a time
Day 20 #CSSMarcothon@CSScritcare swapping the spinning bike for a family walk. tier 3 semi- lockdown doesn’t mean locked up. Sticking to the schedule and feeling better for it
@CSScritcare Great surroundings but I bet it was chilly! Family Sharman clocked up an hour and a half on the spinning bike for day 4 of the Marcothon with the Kids sticking to their 15 mins exercise per day in December so far. Let’s keep it going!
@lancs7 Once as a PRHO in contact lenses I sited a PVC on AMU in a lady with v. Spindly veins. Big explosion & bruise. Next day she was on my ward & needed a PVC. I was back in glasses. Yep fine she said, you can’t do a worse job then the idiot that came yesterday. didn’t own up
