Ed Davey has written to Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson demanding she WITHDRAW official EHRC guidance protecting female-only spaces in toilets and changing rooms.
Let that land.
The Equalities and Human Rights Commission — a statutory body — has produced legally grounded guidance telling employers and public bodies that biological men should not access women’s single-sex spaces.
This is not opinion.
This is not politics.
This is the settled legal position following the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling on the meaning of “woman” under the Equality Act.
And Ed Davey wants it gone.
His stated reason?
The guidance is not “compatible with long-standing British values.”
British values.
He used those words to argue AGAINST protecting women’s single-sex spaces.
The same Liberal Democrats who lecture the country about tolerance, inclusion and human rights are now lobbying a Labour minister to tear up statutory guidance that protects every woman in Britain who walks into a changing room, a refuge or a hospital ward.
This is not a fringe position within the Lib Dems.
Their leader wrote the letter.
The party has chosen its side.
It is not the side of women.
Repost if you think women’s single-sex spaces should be protected.
“What do you think? Has it all gone a bit too far?”
The only thing that’s “gone a bit too far” is the BBC’s fervent desire to convince us that there are “too many dog-friendly spaces.”
So here’s what I think, if you really want my opinion, @BBC
Fuck off with your gaslighting.

I’ve received 5 already this morning.
Spread the word.
After @MCCOfficial received negative publicity for including males in a competition to promote opportunities for young women, MCC listened and made this award just for females
Congratulations Helen Trappelides for winning the MCC young female broadcaster of the year!
Yesterday I was privileged to be able to meet rape gang survivors. Their stories are heartbreaking . We need to ensure that this horrific crime is eliminated.
Sandie Peggie has arrived at the tribunal. Her solicitor, Margaret Peggie, reads out a statement confirming that she has been cleared of gross misconduct allegations in NHS Fife's internal investigation.
Today, survivors, families, whistleblowers, and politicians came together in Westminster. It was a powerful and emotional day, with tears all around as people shared their heartbreaking stories. Every person in that room had been failed by agencies and politicians across the board. Lives torn apart.
I’m proud of every single one of them, and it was an honour to share a room with them.
It wasn’t about trust or making promises — it was about people refusing to give up, determined to expose the horrific sexual abuse and exploitation taking place in the UK.
I was pleased to see MPs turn up. We had Conservative, Labour, Plaid Cymru, Independent, and Northern Irish MPs in attendance. My own MP, Jake Richards, also attended, and we spoke about my fight to strip rapists of parental responsibility for children born from their crimes.
We must continue to work together and push forward if we want to protect children. The scale of this is almost too much to comprehend — but the fight must go on.
Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart for attending. ❤️@rapeganginquiry@RupertLowe10
The Green Party is out of control. Torn between rock and hard place, they simply cannot bring themselves to admit that they were wrong side of history all along. Leaders, officers and spokespeople are in the grip of gender ideological fanaticism, some of whom are front line proselytisers (notably Sian Berry and Zack Polanski), others of whom are terrified of losing their position if they were to align themselves with sex realism or commonsense (Adrian Ramsay). Still others have been exiled from the party for speaking out and speaking truly on the rights of women, girls and children to safety, dignity or medical due diligence. @Greensinexile
In the aftermath of the Supreme Court ruling, just like with Cass, the Green Party avoided any kind of official statement. Sian Berry was left to fill that vacuum on BBC Any Questions with her legally illiterate pronouncements, premised on the preposterous assertion that sex is not binary in human beings. This is directly contrary to actual Green Party policy - which does advocate for single-sex hospital wards and the right of children to be taught the medical realities of reproduction (which is of course binary).
The rock is that, deep down, they must know how increasingly unpalatable gender identity extremism is with the public - which resulted in the loss of ministerial position in Scotland following the ill-fated Gender Recognition Reform Bill - so they cannot articulate their party position vocally without loss of electoral credibility. The hard place is that if the leaders do not capitulate to the fanatics within they know they face disciplinary repercussions through a weaponised complaints system or loss of position. Therefore they prefer to fudge simple definitional questions or avoid probing interviews because they know they would be had. None of this is doing politics differently in a good way.
It is notable that in their cackhanded statements to date, they continue to centre presumed thoughts and feelings of transgender women; never safety and diginity of actual women and girls.
We know it’s not over.
You know it’s not over.
They’ll make sure it’s not over.
But, just for today, let’s forget all that & raise a glass, or two, to all those who’ve been through so much, & fought so hard at HUGE personal cost.
I salute each & every one of you.
❤️
Naomi Cunningham is absolutely on fire in this tribunal! Her cross-examination is meticulous, relentless, and devastatingly effective. She isn’t just exposing contradictions in Upton’s testimony—she is dismantling the entire foundation of self-ID policies in practice.
