Eighty Dodge City High School students explored career possibilities during the DC3 annual Manufacturing Day on Oct. 2. Five seniors also received a boost toward their futures at DC3, each winning a $500 scholarship for the 2027-28 academic year.
DC3 Tech brought career possibilities to life during its annual Tech Ed Career Exploration Day on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Western State Bank Expo Center. Approximately 796 middle and high school students from 11 southwest Kansas schools explored technical education programs.
This weekโs federal immigration enforcement operations have created fear and uncertainty for people in southwest KS. In response, DC3 proposes exploring a common-sense approach that would allow community colleges to play a structured role in an immigration and workforce pathway.
DC3 students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Week, Sept. 14-18, with five days of culture, community and campus fun hosted by the DC3 Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO). Students connected with Hispanic culture while enjoying music, games and traditional refreshments.
DC3 students put their knowledge to the test during โWe the Pizza,โ a Constitution Day event hosted by DC3 Student Activities on Sept. 17, in the quad. Students tackled Constitution-themed trivia for prizes while enjoying free pizza and drinks.
DC3 made its mark at the seventh annual International Festival, on Sept. 13, as students and student-athletes jumped in to set up, serve food, lead games and work the DC3 booth. Approximately 72 student-athletes volunteered alongside members of the DC3 Service Learning class.
DC3 students came together Sept. 8-12 for Suicide Prevention Week, sharing positive sidewalk chalk messages across campus and placing color-coded pinwheels on the DC3 Library lawn.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, the DC3 cheer team gathered at the Dodge City Country Club to celebrate another chapter in program history with a national championship ring ceremony.
The DC3 Foundation hosted its 16th annual Golf Tournament at Mariah Hills Golf Course on Aug. 14, bringing 27 teams together for a day of friendly competition and support for DC3.
DC3 welcomed students back to campus with a week full of food, fun and opportunities to connect during Welcome Week, Aug. 12-15. Activities included free popsicles and ice cream at the SARC and DC3 Library, along with Rise & Conquer mornings featuring free coffee and doughnuts.
