We’re delighted with today’s ruling that everyone will once again have the right to wild camp responsibly on Dartmoor.
Wild camping is a unique experience that can bring a thrill of solitude, independence and adventure that many people can’t get in their day-to-day lives.
If you haven't seen it yet, don't forget that we have a new DofE podcast launching on the 12th July 'Navigating Now' will be a great opportunity for Young People, to share their @DofE journeys with us all 👇
Good luck to our new @DofE Director of Operations-England @Bull0305 ! She will be missed @DofECentral but we know she will do a cracking job for all DofE operations across England!!👏👏
Congratulations to all the Bronze and Silver @DofECentral@StDominicsStone participants on completing your @DofE Expeditions ! Your best friends would love to see you progress to the next level 🫶👇
With @DofE expeditions in full swing, please take a moment to reflect on our Countryside code! Particularly across @DofECentral have some brilliant tips;
-Collect litter don't drop it..
-Be friendly and respectable to the public..
-leave gates as you find them.. 👌
If a gate is shut (or left open) when you come across it there’ll be a reason for that. Perhaps to let cows and other livestock graze. You have a right of way across fields, but be respectful to farmers (and cows!) and leave gates as you find them.
Great Silver @StDominicsStone@DofECentral expedition training day today! Well done to all the @DofE participants that planned their 3 days of journeying! You all used eMapping like pros!!!
During volunteering week, why not celebrate the social value your @DofECentral participants have achieved by completing their Volunteering section of their @DofE Award by sharing your Centres certificate with your followers 👇
