@Stackin_Sats@FossGregfoss@Wealth_Theory Ask what the ontario government plans to do with the 300+ bitcoin they seized.
Imo it should be put into a collateralized initiative to stimulate miners setting up shop in ontario. Specifically, using new nuclear technologies.
@APompliano@ewarren Deflects the question then immediately pivots to frame it with negative words like drugs and snake oil. Totally not in anyone's pocket
@APompliano@APompliano where are the non software engineering jobs coming to the board?
As someone in the HVAC field I'd love to stop designing shitty apartments and focus on top of the line mining facilities.
@BitcoinMagazine@AsILayHodling I'm not wild about the ESG trying to establish a hold on Bitcoin miners.
However, I'm an idiot and even I could design a direct air capture method using AISCs. They generate ~100cfm, if orientated correctly could also induce draft via hot air rising. Basalt screens to engage CO2
@shakepay Because I need to spend fiat to stay alive, but earning fiat back is absurd when you could be rewarded with the hardest money humanity has ever had.
Its not a hard choice; rewards that will appreciate or depreciate in value? Chose your champion, I have.
@thinklikeawhale@thinklikeawhale Hive was first to the GPU mining space, but I think even they did a double take after Hut announced their Nividia specs.
Miners are brutally competitive and will absolutely copy stradegies that are working for others. Thats why you gotta own em all.
@GrantChalmers@LynAldenContact @Ryan98560494 wouldn't it be great to see Canada fill the next decade with multiple SMR projects all over the country. At 20-24 months construction time, they would be little more than dots compared to older gen reactors.
Think of all the S9's they could host.
@BlueskyCorp Why not use Bitcoin mining to monetize new energy technologies such as small module reactors.
Also if you want to appease environmentalists you can use the mass amounts of airflow created by miners to support direct air carbon capture.
