This weekend, Corgi HQ turned into hackathon central!

1,000 participants. 250+ teams. We hosted a YC Startup School after-hackathon with @merge_api, @vercel, @PhotonHQ , and @Fondocom — 12 hours of building around one theme: "make it feel human." The energy (and talent) in the room was incredible.

Our top 3 winners, who split $1,000+ in prizes:

🥇 Atlas — Mithun Mahesh & Jasmine Yip. A second-brain life map that reads your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive and turns them into the people, places, and projects that matter — helping you remember, reconnect, and follow through on ideas. Built using the Merge Agent Handler to pull data across Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, then the Merge Gateway to reason over it with an LLM and cluster everything into life themes.

🥈 Golden Retriever — Andrew Wang, Jerry Li, Ryker Kollmyer & Tarun Malarvasan. An AI companion inspired by a team member's uncle, who lives with paralysis and needs help with everyday tasks. Golden Retriever acts as an on-call assistant — reaching, retrieving, and adapting to how someone moves through their day. They used Merge as their LLM router to understand and respond to natural language the way a person would.

🥉Hacker House — Saahith Veeramaneni, Karthik Sabhanayakam & Paul Lacarriere. Coding is inherently anti-social, and the loneliest moment is the wait — staring at a spinner while your AI agent works. Hacker House reframes that wait as social time: a multiplayer app that places builders in a shared Lounge while their agents run, with the option to retreat to a private, lockable Room where others can watch your terminal live but never interact with it.

2,000+ people signed up and over 1,000 showed up. Open bar. DJs. Food trucks. Ride-alongs with professional drivers.
