@taco_talks That's a really, really interesting perspective. I've always thought that the first Adam and Eve children were many, but only the men were mentioned. So, the people to were Cain moved were children of Cain and Abel with women that were Adam and Eve's unmentioned daughters.
@sola_chad Man, did this account get hacked by an atheist trying to make christian arguments look bad?
It's the second recent post that uses really poor arguments to prove christianity.
I'm a christian, by the way, as you can easily see by my profile description.
@MikeWingerii God bless you, Mike!
May the Lord keep you as faithful and servant as you have been to God's kingdom.
You've been used by God to bless me.
@Real_Ames Man, any guy that simply won't accept the authority of a judge in a court even when surrounded by cops won't accept any social rules, whatever they may be.
He seems a danger to society.
Imagine he being your neighbor and you disagreeing with him on stuff?
What a nightmare.
@MikeWingerii Agreed!
Suspicion may lead to bigger things... or not.
It reminds me of 1 Cor 1:20, of the "disputer of this world".
Sometimes, suspicion only makes us one of them: questioning, doubting, not necessarily creating knowledge, being useful.
May God give us discernment on this.
@BRijswijk@joelbrew36@ThinkingAtheist I can't speak for the person you've asked it to, but what convinced me was the combination of 2 propositions:
1. If God doesn't exist, right and wrong don't exist;
2. Right and wrong do exist.
1+2=›God exists.
I've never had a problem with 1, but I've changed my mind on 2.
@Truth_matters20 IMHO, the 1st one should be Mark: it's a gospel, it's concise and doesn't rely that much on the reader knowing the old testament. It helps establish a good pace.
I love John! It's my favorite book on the bible! However, some beginners might struggle with the first verses.
