Ethiopia Just Got Measured Properly. Africa's 5th largest Economy.

• GDP of $211 billion
• Rebased GDP per capita rises to $1,517, which places Ethiopia within the World Bank's lower-middle-income range
• Pre-rebase, GDP per capita was $915, which had placed Ethiopia at low-income range

Ethiopia's rebased GDP for FY2025/26 is $210.7B (31.86T Birr). It now follows SNA 2008 and captures digital finance, modern trade, industry and mining that the old base year missed.

• A more accurate economic structure
