Turned out the models had errors and the sides was at a slight angle, hence the steps. You can check this by tilting it slightly and see if the pattern changes.

So if you make a gcode file with M8005 Z0 and run it then try up/down, if not work make one with M8005 Z1
then run M8500 to save

@DasMia3 @pp3dp_se I found 3 people on the Elego mars facebook that had the reverse button problem. One fixed it by doing a display calibration, one had a semi-loose Zmotor cable, the third has not come back with a solution. Sadly random solutions.
If you home the printer does it go the right way?

@DasMia3 @pp3dp_se On the Elegoo mars you run a gcode file to factory reset, i would guess it is the same on the Photon.
If that calibration test involved setting the printer in "test" mode, did you remember to revert back to "normal" mode?
