@fiago7 Yes need to go to a Major League game! Can’t go wrong with the Yankees in NYC. Tigers are down this year but could be a good game. Tarik Skubal is the Tiger ace pitcher, would be worth going to see him. Twins are rebuilding but haave some good young guys.
@QuentTarantino, loved the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood novelization! Would love some more pulp books from the Tarantinoverse, how about a Vega brothers book? Elmore would be proud!
Happy 33rd birthday to Manny Machado! Will the @Padres slugger provide a birthday blast tonight?

@TheRewatchables@ryenarussillo How many ADs and head coaches watch this and think “the good ol days, when you could get a 5 star for a 300K house, and a job for mom, a 3 star for 30K and a tractor, and an unknown 5 star for a Lexus, which he did not even ask for!”
Political reporters everywhere just learned a lesson college football fans know well: Once the boosters start leaking that they want you out, you're done.
"I feel everything, every chapter that I've been through in my life has designed me for this moment."
So often, the greatest growth we make as humans is having to fight back from our lowest points. Three years ago when Sha'Carri Richardson was disqualified from competing in the Tokyo Olympics due to a failed drug test she bravely took ownership of her actions saying on Twitter, "I am human...I know what I did. I know what I'm supposed to do and what I'm allowed not to do, and I still made that decision."
Without looking for empathy or making any excuses she was determined to forgive herself and said to Teen Vogue in 2021, "How I show myself forgiveness is honestly by acknowledging it first, acknowledging the situation for what it is, acknowledging my responsibilities in it, and talking about it to the people I feel like it impacted besides myself."
After starting with self-love, Sha'Carri's healing from disappointment has secured her a world record and a spot on the U.S. Olympic team. Telling NBC in a post-race interview, "I feel honored... To stand here with these amazing women who I have the pleasure of sharing this moment with, who I train with... it's a full circle moment, I'm appreciative. I cannot wait to go to Paris and represent."
As a role model to all who have made mistakes Sha'Carri demonstrates how important it is to learn from them and grow out of them, also telling NBC, "I feel everything, every chapter that I've been through in my life has designed me for this moment."
Congratulations to her on her new world record, making the team and showing us all the power of resilience, self-love, and growth when we make mistakes.
University presidents everywhere need to embrace this simple statement by Ben Sasse, President of the University of Florida:
"At the University of Florida, we have repeatedly, patiently explained two things to protesters: We will always defend your rights to free speech and free assembly—but if you cross the line on clearly prohibited activities, you will be thrown off campus and suspended. In Gainesville, that means a three-year prohibition from campus. That’s serious. We said it. We meant it. We enforced it. We wish we didn’t have to, but the students weighed the costs, made their decisions, and will own the consequences as adults. We’re a university, not a daycare. We don’t coddle emotions, we wrestle with ideas."

I'm not sure I can watch Kyle Shanahan in another Super Bowl. Too painful
