I honestly can't believe we're already here...
1,900 domain investors have now signed up for GoExpired. ❤️
We're officially on our way to 2,000.
Thank you.
It means the world to me that so many people are putting their trust in something I started from scratch.
People trust GoExpired to help them discover some of the best domain auctions out there.
They also trust our appraisal tool to give them a valuable second opinion when evaluating a domain.
Thank you so much for believing in GoExpired, for supporting the project, and for being part of this amazing GX community.
The best is still ahead. 🍀
I have a ridiculous dream. 🍀
Seriously.
One of the reasons it took me so long to choose a logo for GoExpired is that I kept imagining one specific moment.
Walking into NamesCon wearing a GoExpired t-shirt.
Up until now, GoExpired hasn’t really had a logo. Just a few dots.
But after months of going back and forth, I’ve finally settled on one.
A four-leaf clover. 🍀
Why a clover?
Because while domain investing takes skill, research, patience, and experience…
Sometimes a little luck helps too.
Every time I thought I’d found the right logo, I’d picture myself walking down the Strip in Las Vegas or along the beach in Miami wearing it.
And honestly?
It never felt right.
Until now.
So here’s my ridiculous dream:
Later this year, I’d love to make the trip from Denmark to NamesCon wearing a GoExpired t-shirt with a giant clover on the front.
Will I make it?
I hope so. 🙏
It’s a long way from Denmark.
But if I do, and you spot me there…
Please come and say hi.
I’d love to meet you. 😄🍀
🚨 Side hustle idea: Become a domain investor.
Sounds ridiculous, right?
That’s exactly what I thought.
Then I bought my first domain name for $8.
24 hours later, I sold it for $1,000.
Not because I was a genius.
Not because I got lucky with crypto.
Not because I had insider knowledge.
I simply found a name I believed had value, reached out to a potential buyer, and they agreed.
That was my introduction to domain investing.
And it completely changed how I looked at the internet.
Every business needs a domain name.
Every startup needs a domain name.
Every new product needs a domain name.
And every day, thousands of valuable domain names expire because their owners forget to renew them, shut down projects, or simply move on.
That’s where domain investors come in.
We buy digital real estate.
Sometimes we hold it.
Sometimes we flip it.
Sometimes we contact potential buyers directly (known as outbound).
Sometimes we buy names for $20 and sell them for $2000.
Sometimes we buy names for $500 and sell them for $50,000.
And yes…
Sometimes we buy names that never sell.
Let’s be honest about that part.
Domain investing is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
Most people won’t buy one domain and suddenly retire.
But compared to many side hustles, the startup cost is surprisingly low.
You can literally get started with less money than a night out.
If I were starting today with a small budget, I’d focus on:
• Expired auctions
• Backorder auctions
 Hand registrations (carefully selected)
• Learning valuation before spending serious money
• Selling a few names before scaling up
Personally, I think expired and backorder auctions offer some of the best opportunities.
You’re often buying names that someone else once thought were worth owning.
That’s one of the reasons I built GoExpired.
Every day I go through thousands of auctions and hand-pick the most interesting opportunities, so newcomers don’t have to spend hours digging through endless lists.
Will you get rich?
Maybe.
Will you learn a valuable skill?
Definitely.
Will you start looking at every company name, startup launch, and product announcement differently?
Absolutely.
And who knows…
Your first $8 domain might turn into something a lot bigger than mine did.
P.S.
One of the best things about domain investing isn’t the domains.
It’s the community.
If you decide to jump in, you’ll find a lot of smart and generous people here on X who are willing to help.
And if you have questions, feel free to connect with me.
I can’t promise I’ll have all the answers, but I’ll gladly point you in the right direction.
Disclaimer:
Not every $8 domain turns into $1,000.
Mine did.
Many won’t.
Start small. Learn. Make mistakes cheaply.

🚀 Big news!
I'm excited to finally share that GoExpired is now an official @NamePros Network Partner.
As part of the partnership, we've launched NamePros Listings - a curated feed of the most investor-friendly Buy It Now domains from NamePros.
Every day, our algorithm scans 180,000+ listings and filters them down to only the names that are actually relevant to domain investors.
No endless scrolling through thousands of listings. Just the best opportunities.
Huge thanks to the NamePros team for making this happen.
