Metabolic Engineer @ number 8 bio. Designing microbes for methane-free meat and milk production. Interested in SynBio solutions for a sustainable future.
Waste valorisation. Publication from @sunnalab by Dr Dominik Kopp @DomDoingScience with @willows_robert describing a cell-free pathway to convert your daily coffee waste into a high value platform chemical for a biobased economy.

Excited to announce our $1.8M pre-seed funding from @MSeqVC, @PossibleVC, @UNSWFounders & @BioplatformsAus! 🥳
This will help us revolutionise feed conversion ratios for farmers and significantly lower methane emissions from their herds.

@ARC_CoESB Thanks! I am stoked and looking forward to working on this with Lars Nielsen and Adam Feist. We will be recruiting a postdoc soon, please RT, and DM me if you or anybody you know is interested in applying
If you're tired to draw your metabolic flux maps by hand, check out my little R package #fluctuator to add fluxes to SVG maps. The recent update can overlay numeric data too. #FBA#FSA#RBA@The_NiWi@MJanasch

New 3 y PhD position in Freiburg in the lab of Annegret Wilde on #cyanobacteria and the #circadian clock. Great collaborative team with national and international cyanobacteriologists. Check https://t.co/sOhL5vpx7C for projects and https://t.co/VS6NoyZeIF for job description.
Unfortunately, our Asian/Australian network is rather small, we would need some help here. So who do you want to listen to or can link us up with?! #cyanobacteria
When life gives you lemons...
Amazing what the UTS team was able to accomplish during this year’s @SynBioChallenge. Despite labs being shutdown for months and no in person contact, they were able to produce this beautiful e-zine about #synbio, design and the future.
.@jestinARgeorge and I are beyond proud of the @UTS_Science@SynBioChallenge team ❤ 🤗
Against all odds, they've created the amazing e-zine "Synthesis". A great tool to help the #synbio and #design communities collaborate effectively!
"SYNTHESIS" - available soon!!! 📖

Find out how we combined 29 enzymes from natural and new-to-nature pathways for the direct conversion of CO2 into value-added terpenes and polyketides. Awesome work by @vidhya03 @Chrizzly_92
@CamilleBianchi @GeorgieALove First world problems 😄
My guess is the cup has been sitting around too long and the glue/sealing got old? Biocups are made with PLA lining; should have the same thermostability and waterproofing as LDPE. In any case should even hold slightly acidic and oily solutions e.g. coffee
Happy to announce we (@PaulsenLab) have a PhD position and scholarship to work on an exciting project linked to @bondibio. Get specifics at https://t.co/U4scAan5mU
Are you in AU/NZ and interested in a PhD project applying recent advances in synthetic biology to improve integrated pest management? I have a fully funded PhD scholarship that just may have your name on it!
