I was told by a @metrotrains staff member that the reason my new Myki card was not working as efficiently as my old one is because it’s a new version where you’re not supposed to tap it against the reader, just hover near it. Can anyone confirm this? Why does tapping fail?

@metrotrains Also, all your literature to this point has shown that the busses going from Belgrave to Ringwood would turn in to limited express services going to Blackburn, yet we have been made to change at Ringwood and catch an express service from here. Is this how it is supposed to be?

@metrotrains There have also been zero busses from Ringwood going towards Belgrave stopping at Heathmont in the past 40 minutes.
