@BuryCouncil What will be done about the volume of traffic on surrounding & approach roads - closing the last 50yds of the road off doesn’t make the journey to school safer for a child - they have to survive the journey to that point first & this has just made those roads busier.

@GA_Bury @livingstreets @BuryCouncil @OfficialTfGM @olgcga Good scheme if used on the right road - not a 50yd stretch used by 9 cars at most over last few months. What will school & council do about Leigh Lane - much busier than Melrose and vehicles much closer to school grounds so what about the air quality & safety of children there?

@livingstreets @GA_Bury @OfficialTfGM A good scheme if applied to the right road rather than wanting to be ‘first ever.’ School & council haven’t given answers about the issues on Leigh Lane or air quality on there which will now be worse due to Melrose closure - if so dangerous why were no warnings given to parents?

@forgetcape Seem the same with the Grade II listed Salford Cathedral and the owners of some of the new apartments nearby complaining that the bells that have rung for 175 years are too loud for them - well it was there long before they were. What did they expect?
