I’m curious to know what people expected from Pharrell ever since he joined LV. Because if you were looking for something extraordinary or innovative, I fear you don't know Pharrell at all.

Most of what Pharrell has made have been a remix of something that has already been made. but obviously with his own twist. And I am sure when Louis Vuitton granted him this position, that is what they were expecting.

Perhaps after Virgil, they didn't want to make a huge risk doing something totally different, especially when Virgil truly changed the game and mixed the luxury with streetwear and brought a whole new idea to LV, in which was innovative.

So hiring someone who is not only connected to the culture of streetwear, but also connected with Virgil just made sense. Pharrell is creative, recognizable, and culturally fluent. Pharrell is not the type of designer who would destroy the old world and recreate a new one.
