Sometimes I think people compare young people too easily, forgetting that we did not all start from the same place.

Some people come from families that may not have much, but whatever they have, they pour it into their children. They make sure their children can focus on school, work, their dreams, and actually becoming something.

Then there are some of us carrying responsibilities we were never supposed to carry that young.

You’re trying to build your own life, but family problems are already sitting on your neck. Then life adds health challenges too.

At some point, your dreams start taking the back seat because you’re no longer thinking about becoming great, you’re just trying to survive this month.

Meanwhile, you’re watching people your age move forward and wondering what exactly you’re doing wrong.

Sometimes, nothing is wrong with you.

You’re just running a completely different race with heavier things on your back.

I genuinely wish more children had supportive homes. Homes that make life easier, not homes they have to spend adulthood recovering from.
