@PashalisVicki@SAHealth The number can go backwards because un vaccinated people have turned 16 and because vaccinated people have died (of any cause). Deaths is higher in old people who are more likely to be vaxed. So it is possible the stats are accurate and the issue is real vax rates are dropping.
@AndrewPStreet There are some questions to be answered and maybe some court cases to come. If upstream suppliers diverted allocated stock to fill govt orders that may have been voluntary but blame govt. Then these suppliers have questions to answer but even if liable what remedy?
@Birmo Just got off a call from our supplier. The RATs we need to keep our business open safely have been reallocated to federal supply. We ordered and paid for ours before you. Please DM me with details of how we get our stock.
@B_Boo_Who_R_U @ProfPCDoherty I don't think anyone is suggesting delaying vaccination until children can get vaccinated. Given how long it has taken between the approval for a vaccine and it going into arms I think it is good to be planning for it now and without public pressure it could be very slow.
@AnnaMar36805673@vanOnselenP That minority that would be getting thrown under the bus includes my 10yo daughter. She is not an antivaxer or conscientious objector. Just born too late to be part of any plan on the table in Australia. What path can she choose?
@jbhifi_23@AbsentmindedAus@mjrowland68 So approval of the vaccine is for under 12 is one of the barriers to getting a higher percentage of the population vaccinated. That is why they need to be in the metric IMHO.
@jbhifi_23@AbsentmindedAus@mjrowland68 Sorry - Why don't U12 factor in? Is it because when under 12 year olds die from COVID it only takes a few years to make a new one to not so much investment lost? Why is Australia treating under 12's as disposable?
@FionaMMarsden@barriecassidy @annaclarity The idea that an appreciating property will enable you to trade up overlooks the fact that the property you want to trade up to has also appreciated - by more. The gap is bigger - not smaller.
