JUST IN: The signed agreement between MTN and Abia State Government to deploy internet in all nooks and cranny of Abia State is now fully underway, as MTN has begun aggressive installation of masts all over to cover unserved and underserved areas with at least 3G network (minimum). This means that you do not have to venture into the urban areas of Abia in order access good internet connectivity.

What they’re doing is transforming already existing schools into this. This is American-standard schooling.

You remember I once criticized their first smart school attempt, which the government later condemned entirely and followed this approach instead.

I’m so impressed with the Abia State Government.

VFTS UPDATE: After the restriction on commercial motorcycles in the urban centers of Abia state, private cycle owners must now obtain this Transport Enumeration card to be able to move around freely in Abia State. This TE card or a copy of it must be with you as you ride on your bike(s) within the restricted zones.

Okada operators outside the restricted zones (rural areas) must also now present themselves for a revalidation and be presented with the appropriate ID to operate within those areas.
