In this video, I revealed the tricks the government often uses to lengthen the detention of suspects arrested without sufficient evidence of any crime. That’s how potentially innocent citizens like Ozioma Onyeaka & many others ended up in Wawa barracks without trial for years.
A video has emerged showing a woman illegally thumb-printing many ballot papers in the ongoing election in Amasiri LGA, Ebonyi State. APC is leading in all the LGAs. If this is a foretaste of 2027, why would anybody body to vote?
BREAKING NEWS!
THE BIAFRAN VANGUARD RECEIVES HISTORIC RECOGNITION FROM THE DIRECTORATE OF STATE
August 22, 2026
The Biafran Vanguard Media proudly acknowledges the profound recognition and appreciation expressed by Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ, Head of the Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for our active, professional and dedicated work in support of the Biafran restoration movement under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
This recognition is deeply significant to the entire Biafran Vanguard Media family. Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ has acknowledged the commitment, professionalism and responsible conduct with which our media team continues to report, analyse and communicate issues surrounding the Biafran restoration movement.
For us, this is more than an acknowledgement—it is an encouragement to do even more.
The Biafran Vanguard Media considers this recognition a historic moment.
It is, to the best of our knowledge, the first recognition of this nature coming directly from the leadership of the movement since its creation more than a decade ago.
We therefore receive it with humility, gratitude and a renewed sense of responsibility.
The Biafran Vanguard Media remains the Voice of the People of Biafra.
Our commitment is to continue promoting truthful, responsible and professional journalism while giving the Biafran people, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom a platform through which their voices can be heard.
We shall continue to work harder under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom we recognise as the Supreme Leader of the movement, and we shall continue to cooperate with Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ and the Directorate of State of the 4th Administration in advancing the objectives of the movement through responsible media engagement.
We also express our appreciation to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for the leadership decisions that brought the current Directorate of State leadership to the forefront.
We believe that effective leadership requires wisdom, discipline, commitment, accountability and an understanding of the responsibilities entrusted to those who serve.
The Biafran Vanguard Media will not take this recognition for granted. Instead, it strengthens our resolve to raise our standards, remain professional, amplify the voices of the people and continue documenting the Biafran story with dedication.
Recognition brings responsibility. Appreciation brings greater commitment.
To Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ and the entire Directorate of State, we say thank you for recognising the work of The Biafran Vanguard Media.
Your acknowledgement has inspired us to work harder and we shall continue to harder until Mazi Nnamdi Kanu free and Biafra restored.
The journey continues.

@USinNigeria I hope to see a drastic action without no compromise in the line of your duty. Because Nigeria original name is compromise. Congratulations to you in your new office.
If you’re against this man, or you’re in open or hidden alliance with his enemies, you have no moral right to attack those that support him & working to undo the grave injustice done to him/Ndigbo. If disloyalty is in your DNA, loyalty is in the DNA of legions, seen & unseen.
According to my colleague who posted this, over 300 Igbo youths are detained “unlawfully and illegally” by the DSS in Abuja, and kept incommunicado from their families. This is a new high from what we already know, and those we’re already representing in court.
Not just MAZI NNAMDI KANU, but Igbos as a whole cannot say what these people are saying and go scot-free. That’s the Igbo problem in Nigeria that makes it very tough for Igbos to be Nigerians.
Dear IGP Disu (@TunjiDisu1): Kindly investigate this incident where, during a stop & search, the policeman identified here, allegedly said to a citizen: ‘If you were Igbo, I would’ve detained you’. Such remark constitutes a hate crime that portends danger to all Igbos in Nigeria.
UPDATE: In addition to the recent publication (by IPOB) of the names of persons detained on account of being IPOB members, these screenshots bear additional 37 detainees that might’ve been missed in the previous publication. These are some of the cases being handled by my office.
FCT Commissioner Of Police says: “Don't allow any police officers to search your phone and we’re saying this due to the abuse and extortive tendencies of some of our officers. We have about 4 police officers in custody who extorted ₦53,000 from the Chairman of the ICPC. They are part of a gang from various police divisions who created illegal checkpoints."
PRESS RELEASE: 21st July, 2026
RE: Kanu’s legal team condemns call for his extrajudicial killing, demands retraction and apology
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team hereby strongly condemns the statement made by one Mr. Chigozie Nnabugwu on News Central TV, in which he publicly urged the Government of Nigeria to kill our client for ‘normalcy to return to the Southeast.’
The video bearing this statement was published at 1:14PM on 19th July 2026 by News Central Television at its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, monitored at: @NewsCentralTV, and it went viral from that source.
To be sure, this call for extrajudicial killing is reckless, irresponsible, and unlawful. And it constitutes a clear threat to life and risks inciting a breakdown of public order.
The call strains the boundaries set under Section 24(1) of the Cybercrimes Act, which criminalises the knowing or intentional transmission of messages via electronic means (including those amplified on broadcast platforms and social media) that pose a threat to life or are intended to cause a breakdown of law and order, which carries a fine of up to ₦7m or imprisonment of up to three years or both.
Additional liabilities will likely be triggered under the Criminal Code for incitement to violence and related offences.
Furthermore, by airing and platforming this inflammatory content without due regard for its potential to incite violence or threaten public peace, News Central TV may face regulatory sanctions for breach of broadcast codes on incitement and public order.
It may also attract accessory liability or contributory exposure under relevant laws. Broadcasters enabling hate speech and calls for extrajudicial killing risk severe regulatory sanctions and other countervailing measures.
And demanding an extrajudicial execution while legal proceedings remain before the court directly subverts the judicial process and potentially constitutes actionable contempt of court.
We are actively reviewing all available legal options, including formal complaints to the appropriate authorities.
In the interim, we hereby demand that Mr. Chigozie Nnabugwu issue an immediate public retraction of his statement, and that News Central TV tender an unqualified televised apology for airing such dangerous content.
Finally, this Press Release serves as a pre-action notice of all legal actions that will ensue if Mr. Nnabugwu and News Central TV fail to take immediate remedial measures.

Aloy Ejimakor, Esq.
Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“I apologise to the Igbos so that we can put the past behind us and continue to foster unity. We have become one family because our people were deceived into going to war, and we regret it. We must close that chapter and move forward.” - Mutfwang, Plateau Governor.
Today, we commenced a Suit against LOLO NNEKA CHIMEZIE for her viral defamation of MAZI NNAMDI KANU. This is one in a series of Suits we’ve lined up for the vigorous defense of the name & reputation of #MNK. Whether you’re in Nigeria or abroad, we shall deploy the long arms of the law to reach you & bring you to swift justice.
The reluctance of Igbo youths to enlist in the Nigerian armed forces is not a deficit of valor, but a calculated refusal to serve an institution they deeply mistrust. Historically and presently, Ndigbo face systematic marginalization within an ethnically unbalanced leadership structure in Nigeria’s security services.
More critically, the armed forces are repeatedly weaponized against Ndigbo in times of crisis. The trauma of the 1967 army massacres of Ndigbo in the North remain an unhealed wound, constantly reopened by modern atrocities targeting youths suspected of IPOB ties, such as the state-sanctioned violence at Nkpor, the Aba prayer ground, Obigbo, the Trump victory rally in Port Harcourt, and many others.
Furthermore, these youths are deeply appalled by the integration of "repentant" Boko Haram terrorists into the military. To ask them to bleed under a biased command, alongside former terrorists, is a compromise of dignity they refuse to make.
So, their reluctance to enlist is not cowardice. Instead, it is a quiet, powerful protest against an institution that has often betrayed Ndigbo.
Promise made, promise kept. Kudos to AVID, Ambassadors for Self Determination, Madam Rachel and all the seen & unseen hands who worked so hard to actualize this critical mission to Israel. May your labors in defense of freedom produce the desired result, sooner than later.
The usual suspects who have capitalized on MAZI NNAMDI KANU’s imprisonment to traduce him, should know that throughout history, no prisoner of conscience served out his prison sentence. Instead, such prisoner ultimately regained freedom & ended up triumphant, sooner than later.
I posted this video because it aptly depicts the people that pretend to be on your side but are secretly adding to your problem. They tout your name & sing your praises but at the same time, they go after your allies & seize every opportunity to degrade you by their actions.
On this #TweetTuesday for the release of MAZI NNAMDI KANU, here’s one of the several victories that can independently justify his release. All people of goodwill should continue to urge the Government of Nigeria to do the right and #FreeNnamdiKanu without further ado.
BREAKING: Yesterday, Emeritus Professor Martin Aghaji, MAZI NNAMDI KANU’s personal physician was arrested at his residence in Enugu. This is the height of the official harassment he has been facing since he issued the medical report that did not comport with the DSS’s medical report on #MNK. The legal team is weighing-in at the moment.
#JusticeForProfAghaji.
