Troops eliminate several bandits in gunbattle with Bello Turji’s faction
By: Zagazola Makama
Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralised several armed bandits during a fierce gunbattle while conducting an offensive operation against the hideout of notorious bandit leader Bello Turji in Fakai, Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to security sources, the operation, led by 8 Division Strike Force, commenced at about 6:00 a.m. on March 20, targeting Turji’s camp deep inside Kagara Forest.
During the advance, two combat support vehicles developed mechanical faults near Maberaya village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, prompting a temporary halt in the troops’ movement.
It was at this moment that heavily armed bandits from Turji’s faction launched an ambush, using high grounds and forested areas for cover.
“The troops swiftly responded with superior firepower, engaging the bandits and eliminating several of them in the encounter,” the sources said.
Three soldiers and one personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS) sustained injuries during the skirmish and were promptly evacuated to the 8 Division Military Hospital for medical attention.
Reinforcement teams from Forward Operating Bases in Isa and Shinkafi later linked up with the troops to consolidate the area and ensure operational success.
Today in Argungu, I witnessed more than a festival. I witnessed a people reclaiming their peace.
The 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival is proof that stability is gradually returning, that normalcy is taking root, and that our investments in security are yielding results.
Over 50,000 fishermen gathered at Matan Fada. Culture flourished. Competition thrived. Communities celebrated without fear.
This is not accidental. It is the product of coordinated security efforts, intelligence work, and community partnership. We will win the fight against insecurity. Our farmers, fishermen, traders, and families must live and work in safety.
Argungu is also a reminder that culture is commerce. Tourism is opportunity. Agriculture is prosperity.
We will continue to support Kebbi State and every state committed to food security, rural development, youth empowerment, and infrastructure growth.
Nigeria is moving forward. Peace by peace. Harvest by harvest. Community by community.
Renewed Hope is alive in Argungu.
I am honoured and grateful to His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (@officialABAT ), for conferring on me the MFR national honour.
I have been sent the official certificate today following the announcement last night. It’s a very proud moment for me and my family to receive this recognition.
Nigeria gave me my identity, my purpose, and the platform to live my dream through football. Wearing the green and white has always been a great responsibility, privilege, and a promise to give everything for the badge and for our people.
As our Super Eagles begin their AFCON journey today, I wish the team every success. As promised, I’ll be supporting them all the way. I believe in this group, our nation and what we can achieve.
I am, and will always be, proud to be Nigerian 🇳🇬

“The Sahel is heating up, and you can see what they are doing to Mali. We do not want that situation to come to Nigeria. Our border must be secured, and our security forces must be enforced and supported.”

Several bandits killed as troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA repel attack in Sokoto
By: Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have neutralised several bandits during a fierce encounter in Sabon Garin Kwargaba village, Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Sources said the incident occurred on Oct. 7 at about 11:30 p.m. when a large number of bandits armed with sophisticated weapons invaded the village and began shooting sporadically.
The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA stationed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) were swiftly mobilized to the scene.
The sources said the security forces engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle that lasted several minutes, forcing the assailants to flee into the forest with heavy casualties.
“Several of the bandits were neutralised while others escaped with gunshot injuries. Unfortunately, one soldier and a woman from the community lost their lives in the encounter,” he said.
The sources added that another soldier who sustained gunshot injuries was rushed to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, and is responding to treatment.
He said additional military reinforcements had been deployed to the area to prevent further attacks and restore calm.
“An extensive bush combing operation is ongoing to track down the fleeing bandits and ensure lasting security in the area,” the sources added
Bill Maher, the Jewish-controlled American media and the American Deep state have said the world should "forget Gaza" and instead "focus on Nigeria" where, according to them "500,000 Christians have been killed in the last one year".
This is a lie and a false narrative. It is the beginning of an insidious attempt to discredit and demonise our country, divide us on religious lines, destabilise us, bring us to our knees, depict us as a leperous psriah state and spark off a religious war.
We must resist it. Nigerians beware! Listen to this short clip and stand for our country!
When Lagos invested billions in the Blue Line Rail, many mocked the project; some even laughed at the sight of four people pushing the train during testing. They desperately wished it would fail.
Yet today, that same train has safely completed over 5 million passenger trips in just two years. Ironically, many who once ridiculed it are now among its regular riders.
The lesson? In life, focus on doing your best and making things work. Those you’re trying to help may mock or condemn you at first, but in the end, results silence doubt.
If I offer you cola, don’t take it. But if I tell you President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best man for the job till 2031 believe me.

Every day I wake up before getting out of bed, I pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR @officialABAT and I thank God for using him to rescue Nigeria from stumbling and I bless God for giving us a "Unique" leader who is delivering & freeing Nigeria and Nigerians from economic hostility. Now Nigeria’s eagle can fly above the sky🕊️
God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬
