Game theory shows that long conflicts are usually won by whoever can absorb losses the longest. This is called a war of attrition, and it applies to warfare as well as business endeavors. Both sides pay continuously as long as the game goes on, and no party is willing to cut their losses. An attrition war is therefore one of the most dangerous and expensive games a person can sign up for. The majority lose these games because they commit to such a perilous game for a prize that isn't worth it. If you can't outlast your enemy and the prize isn't worth it, you shouldn't play in the first place. Cut your losses.

When times are good, we celebrate together. When times are tough, we stand together. When our club is under attack, we stand stronger.
Players come and go, but the supporters remain. Fans loyalty cannot be bought, pride cannot be broken, our togetherness cannot be destroyed.

Even putting aside my total 115% bias as a @ManCity Blue I have to say some, but not all, of the splash headlines in today’s UK press are the most positive ever achieved by any commercial entity amid a reputational crisis. The organisation is entirely aligned too. Incredible. 👏🩵🍌
Xolani Zuma must never think that all of us were born in KwaZulu-Natal and are taxi drivers.
Our questions does not stem on whether he is legally permitted to do business with the state or not. But the legitimacy in which the tender was awarded, particularly given the apparent lack of experience in the poultry farming industry.
How did his company pass the evaluation matrix? Who sat on the evaluation committee, and ultimately approved the award of a R12 million tender to a company that was registered just 10 months ago?
Ayikho lento🤦🏾♂️
They hated our celebrations. They questioned our confidence. They warned us about Anfield. The pundits talked, the rivals prayed, and the crowd made noise.
But when the football started, Manchester City did the talking. Anfield was hostile, but the result was beautiful. 🩵🥶

Liverpool fans trying to take the moral high ground is insane
You murdered 39 innocent Italian fans in 1985 and got English clubs banned from Europe for 5 years
Would rather be a cheat than a murderer
The soul-searching has begun for many #mancity fans (try talking to them if you don't believe that) - but they’re not going to play the sad clowns in public for a circus who, for the first time in years, are pretending to give a fuck about them

Elliot Anderson: “We’re all so together, more together than ever. We have to be… we have to stick together - and it really brings us together. It gives us that determination to come out here, everyone’s against you, and turn them over - which we did!”
