@kellywchris School boards are locally elected government like municipalities or cities. This isn’t a deal with themselves, it is school boards working with government to meet local needs.

@drmarcspooner@DadPabst@kenny_sherlock Not neutered. Every other employee, Employee group and union negotiates with the school board who is funded by government. These are multi-million dollar organizations who are accountable to the electors. The bi-level bargaining is only for teachers.
@drmarcspooner@DadPabst@kenny_sherlock It was very inequitable from a taxation perspective. Different mill rates for same types of property (condo, residence, land, resort property) depending on where you lived/ owned property. Sk party fixed it.
