This sends a chill up my spine. Smiles and applause while the Democratic Massachusetts governor signs a bill to allow abortions up to birth in her state. This is murder. It’s evil. She calls abortion healthcare for women. The Bible says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil” (Isaiah 5:20). This governor and those cheering will one day stand before a Holy God—I don’t think they will be cheering then. https://t.co/7yEC5deoi5
A girl in a blue graduation gown held her diploma against the glass so her mother could see it from the other side. Both of them wept and smiled through the barrier until the guard tapped the mother’s shoulder and the visit ended. Then the door opened behind the girl, the guard had brought her mother through, and she ran straight into her arms. A guard could not change the sentence, so he changed the one thing he could.

MAURICIO POCHETTINO GATHERED THE UNITED STATES SOCCER TEAM AND THEY PRAYED TOGETHER DESPITE BEING ELIMINATED FROM THE WORLD CUP.
No matter whether they win or lose — they give God all the glory.
What a beautiful and powerful moment.

I have greatly appreciated the encouragement in recent weeks concerning the health of my father-in-law. He stepped into the presence of the Lord early Monday morning. With family out of the country returning on Sunday, the visitation and memorial service will be July 11th.

@KennyCecil_ God bless you and will be praying for you and your family.
I’m a CPA specializing in ministerial taxes so keep me in mind should you need any assistance.
This morning concluded a two-year process of applying to churches, being rejected by many, and turning down others. What a hard road for me and my family.
The Lord was pleased to bring a unanimous vote this morning to a local congregation in the greater Kansas City metro to call me to be their next pastor. I will start immediately.
Praise the Lord. We are more than thankful and excited for this next stage. If you are a pastor in rural/small church ministry or ministering in the KC area, sub/follow and I’ll get you back. Looking forward to connecting.
My FIL was kept overnight (expected) for more tests and observation. He had a seizure which we’ve since learned is not uncommon for stroke survivors.
Exercising caution, they’ve decided to keep him one more night. Altered our plans of being back in the ATL today but we’d rather stay another night. No need to throw caution to the wind. God’s mercy and grace have been on display in ways great and small.
“Do not be surprised, brothers, that’s the world hates you.” I John 3:13 Of course is absolutely a violation of free speech and raw unfettered discrimination. Shame on the @chicagobulls and double shame on @NBA.
I’m a high school teacher. We have policies. Late work gets points deducted. Turn it in on time or take the hit. That’s how students learn responsibility. Senior year. Final paper worth thirty percent of the grade. Due Friday. Monday came. Still no paper from this one kid. Smart kid. Never missed assignments before.
Called him to my desk after class. “Where’s your paper?” He looked down. “I don’t have it” Waited. He didn’t elaborate. “You know this tanks your grade right? Might not graduate” He nodded. Still wouldn’t look at me. “Do you not care?” His voice cracked. “My dad died Thursday night. Heart attack. Paper was done. On my laptop. But I’ve been at the hospital. At the funeral home. I forgot. I just forgot.”
My chest tightened. “I’m so sorry. Why didn’t you tell me?” “Because it sounds like an excuse. Everyone has excuses.” He finally looked up. Eyes red. “Just fail me. I deserve it.”
Closed my gradebook. “Email me the paper tonight. Full credit. And take this week off. Come back when you’re ready.” He shook his head. “The policy—” “I’m the teacher. I make exceptions when life happens. Your dad died. That’s not an excuse. That’s a tragedy. Go home.”
He graduated. Top ten percent. Spoke at graduation. Mentioned a teacher who showed him that rules and compassion can coexist. I was in the audience. Crying.
Sometimes grace matters more than policy.

My receptionist, Emily, lost her husband unexpectedly in a car accident. Our company policy allows for 3 days of bereavement leave. On day 4, she showed up, pale and shaking, trying to answer phones because she couldn't afford to lose her income. It was heartbreaking to watch. I put the 'Out to Lunch' sign up, locked the door, and sat her down. I told her, 'Go home. Take the month. Take two. Your salary will continue as if you are here 8 hours a day.' Grief doesn't have a 3-day expiration date.
If you force people to work through trauma, you break them. If you support them, they remember it forever.
High Point Guard Chase Johnston shared The Gospel on @wakeupbarstool this morning & explained how Jesus Christ saved him though a convicting conversation with his brother 3 years ago.
Great job diving into this, @TBob53 👏
High Point G Chase Johnston, who hit the game-winner in their upset win over Wisconsin, wears jersey #99 to represent The Parable of the Lost Sheep where Jesus leaves the 99 to find the 1 👏
