@LeoPatRoss My definition of ‘needs’ is basically anyone who determines they need it. There is no reason public housing can’t be an asset and revenue for gov. So why is it such a bad thing?
@LeoPatRoss I don’t see any reason why public housing should not just be open to basically anyone that needs it. It could be turned into quite a national asset and revenue stream at that. But the problem still remains that our public houses are in an absolutely terrible state.
But a bit of ball tampering in cricket and NOW Australia has been disgraced? NOW we’ve lost our innocence? Now we are outraged?
I’m afraid the notion of being a fair go country, and what it is to be ‘Australian’ have all but faded out of existence a long time ago.
Devil-may-care attitude to homelessness. Skyrocketing living and housing expenses turning people to the streets. Renters treated like second class citizens. Everyday mums & dad’s who have no qualms about being lying ruthless landlords. Plus countless other wrongs...
@StevenDeare Hello Steven, thank you for including Anthony Ziebell (Affordable Housing) in the story. In a couple of places it says "Patrick Ziebell" which should be corrected to Anthony Ziebell. Thanks again, Anthony.
They’re looking for 1m+ landlords who feel ‘singled out’... Hehe. And here I am thinking @LiberalAus is the investor lobby group! https://t.co/RiTYJefVON
How is this supposed to be sustainable? Over a million dollars a bedroom now in parts of suburban Sydney #auspol#HousingCrisis#housing https://t.co/WHhyaYhZ3m
@BarkingMadGC It's a major up hill battle, that one! Even tenants aren't unanimous. For the record, I think pets belong in homes, be they rented or owned.
