In two weeks, my office will be hosting our last fishing derby at Irvine Lake for the foreseeable future, as the Irvine Ranch Water District will be draining the lake for renovations in October.

Yesterday, my staff visited Irvine Lake with OC Parks to inspect the site of our upcoming catfish fishing derby.

Yesterday, my staff attended the Orange County Public Affairs Association Legislative Aides Luncheon, where my Policy Advisor, Amanda Castillas, gave an update on the Third District.

It was a great turnout and wonderful opportunity to connect with legislative offices.

At Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting, Chairman Chaffee and I introduced a resolution recognizing August as Eligibility Professionals Month. 

I want to thank our eligibility professionals that serve our residents and strive to make our county a better place for all.

Today, I brought forward a resolution recognizing Baryic Hunter, Assistant Chief of Field Operations for the North Region at the Orange County Fire Authority, who is retiring after 30 years, 18 of those with @OCFireAuthority . 

We are all wish him a restful retirement!

My Field Representative, Pat Buttress, presented a certificate of recognition to Monarch 9 in Yorba Linda, congratulating the owners on their 10 year Anniversary.  

Monarch 9 is a local café in Savi Ranch, dedicated to providing healthy hand crafted food with fresh ingredients.
