@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity I'm saying that they feel like they have no choice. That's the point. But they do choose their friends over the Knight at times! During the Knight fight, if both of them are down, Kris does EXTRA damage, choosing their friends. Kris chooses to keep Susie safe, even using the SOUL
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity The fuck are you talking about? Like, they don't choose in story?
Because, yeah they do? Everyone makes choices, and Kris is specifically rips the SOUL out of their body so they can make them without us. The phone call specifically shows us they are forced.
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity But I did use text. That's what quotation marks show, wise guy.
Might wanna reread that.
Also, more text:
"Was she okay? Did she really go home" (So Toriel remembers)
"...We ...aren't going to let that happen..." (Susie was talking before this, hence the ellipsis)
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity You say she hates him, but clearly not that much. During the Festival, she does say some antagonistic things against him, but then continues to make bits with the guy and gives him credit for the tea cup ride bit and likes his jokes. She doesn't hate him as much as you think.
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity None of what you are arguing is text. (Literally, it's all voice blips and SFX) None of what you are arguing is concrete. If you have to bring up some weirdo to champion your opinion, then next time, choose someone else, or maybe omit that from your statement.
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity Of course they chose the conspiracy, but it doesn't mean they wanted to. They had to. They promised. It's shown time and time again Kris would much rather not be a part of it, but they are. That doesn't mean they didn't want to follow Susie. It means they had a job to do instead
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity and also, What do you mean, "we don't know if Kris wants to follow"? You wanna use Occam's Razor?
Kris gets on the window, about to leave (which we know they can do)
And then a phone call.
Who says "you promised", immediately placing a dichotomy.
Kris is now forced to choose.
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity If you want more of an explanation, Kris is no longer paying attention to Toriel and Sans because they heard Susie's voice call out to them.
Susie didn't yell to shut them up, she "yelled" to get Kris's attention. That's it.
@Bingus_Artworks@SangekiArts@MaritheKity I disagree with that. The reason we no longer hear Sans and Toriel is for probably one of two reasons:
It would take away from the scene right after, where Susie calls out to Kris and walks away, as well as Kris wanting to follow, so we just don't hear it
Or Toriel fell asleep.
@EvilMynti@Redstrap360@MokkeineFanGabo@MaritheKity I think people forget that Kris does love their family. They just currently are involved in some sort of conspiracy. Toriel isn't perfect, but she takes care of Kris as much as she can. The problem is the barrier Kris has put around themself. It even starting to happen to Susie.
@EvilMynti@Redstrap360@MokkeineFanGabo@MaritheKity It is a factor.
Toriel messed up with how loud and how long she was up for, but Kris does not and will not elaborate on why they are upset. Even before the SOUL was there. Besides, Kris has evidently done this before, often with no problem and happily as they would put more honey
@TargunYssboern@isaboi7@Notice_Noses@ShowerStrangers@EDG_Eat There are other reasons:
Some places have soft ground, it can't be that heavy.
More repairable and customizable. Walls can be removed or added with less fear
During tornadoes, the debris is way less dangerous than brick, and is rebuilt faster too. Brick does break in tornadoes.
@cyclonetortilla@Soraismyson I mean, I feel like firing Alphys was justified. She messed up bad, and lied to get the position. But more importantly, it was probably so she could recover from the horrible anxiety and depression the job caused her. In that light, I feel like firing Alphys was a good thing.
@AllyBurnR01 I also think that's a bad direction for it. Most of the mystery comes from past events. If it was fake, it would completely undermine the current story. I think it's one of two things:
Hometown is isolated, but only recently by Gaster
Or isolated physically by Carol because of us
@dillonwithit1@J0RGEJOESTAR Not really. They have a *chance* of coming back, but Castle Town is the only Dark World almost any Darkner can live in. Darkners that don't fit in turn to stone. Lancer and Rouxls could somewhat live because they looked for purpose while in other worlds. Others can't be so lucky.
@axedashed No, because it's not true.
Napstablook appears even when you kill the dummy, and Blooky talks about how they have no interest in looking for a body, unlike Mad Mew Mew and Mettaton.
Ruins Dummy seems to be their own ghost.
