This isn't true. Ofgem made it clear "This increase is a result of higher wholesale gas prices caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East". More drilling in the North Sea would be good for our economy, but it would make little difference to prices... 1/2

Anyone else think this shows how disconnected the Labour party is from the actual cost of living crisis?

How does this help with rent, energy bills, food - the things some people are actually struggling with?

It all seems so gimmicky - making things cheaper for many who can already afford them but not helping in the areas where help is actually needed
