Trump is attempting to rename the Kennedy Center for the Arts after himself.
Why is he so obsessed with taking over our museums, arts, and cultural institutions?
It’s all part of his attack on the American mind.
Rob Reiner spent decades defending democracy and fighting for equality - even when it wasn’t easy or popular. At a moment when silence is safer, his willingness to speak out is a reminder that protecting democracy requires courage.

BREAKING: Defense Department officials EXPOSE Pete Hegseth's horrifying master plan inside the Pentagon as he fires the military's attorneys to "get them out of the way" for future illegal actions.
This should send a chill down every American's spine...
"I see this as part of a grander plan to remove lawyers from the operational forces and get them out of the way," one former senior defense official told CNN.
Earlier this year, Hegseth fired Lieutenant General Joe Berger, Judge Advocate General of the United States Army, as well as Lieutenant General Charles Plummer, the Judge Advocate General of the United States Air Force.
Over a dozen current and former defense officials told CNN that the two prominent firings were the "first warning shots" from a Trump administration that's "intent on pushing the boundaries of the law." So far, they've demonstrated a willingness to do just that, as seen in their illegal deployment of National Guard troops to American cities and their murderous and internationally condemned strikes on alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean. Numerous current and former JAGs told CNN that the strikes "do not appear lawful."
“Decapitating [the Army and Air Force JAG Corps] was an easy way for Hegseth to send a strong message from the outset and put the entire JAG corps on notice,” said one defense official said to be "familiar" with the so-called War Secretary's "thinking."
The senior JAGS are supposed to be neutral and nonpartisan interpreters of the law but when looking for replacements Hegseth's staff "prioritized questions about whether candidates agreed with former President Joe Biden’s policies rather than their interpretations of law." They were asked about the COVID-19 vaccine and their feelings towards transgender troops. The officials told CNN that the questions amounted to "political litmus tests."
“Hegseth’s rhetoric and policies are perceived as a bit unhinged and counterproductive, but the way forward is just to eat it and put your head down and act in accordance with his new policies,” one current Army JAG said. “No JAG is trying to rock the boat or get noticed.”
As if that weren't enough, Hegseth is scheming to transfer 600 JAGs over to the Department of Justice so that they can serve as immigration judges, further undermining our military in service to Trump's xenophobic and self-defeating deportation agenda.
All of this is a recipe for disaster and a complete dissolution of the rule of law. When Democrats regain power, they must launch full investigations into Hegseth's tenure at the Pentagon. Apparently, some people are already starting to worry about the eventuality...
“The view is, you probably don’t want to stray too far away from what you know is correct,” one Navy JAG told CNN about the Caribbean strikes. They said that a new administration will eventually arrive and install a new Defense Secretary. “And when that time comes, you don’t want to have evidence of you running too much afoul of what’s required by law.”
Please retweet and ❤️ if you support a full investigation when Democrats take power!
MAGA South Carolina State Representative RJ May resigns after being charged with Child Sex Abuse.
Not a Drag Queen.
Not a Trans.
Not an Immigrant.
Just another piece of shit MAGA Lawmaker.
Tariffs are taxes paid by American importers, not foreign govts, meaning the money “flowing in” is actually coming from US businesses and consumers, not China, India or anyone else.
It’s like robbing your own citizens and calling it foreign income. For someone who claims to be a business genius, not understanding this basic economic principle either points to a dangerously low IQ or deliberate deception, and neither is reassuring.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Gerrymandering isn’t new — but here’s what is: a president calling a governor asking for five seats, and a Republican Party that just capitulates to those demands.
Why? To dodge voter backlash for failed policies and broken promises.
That’s not democracy. It’s dangerous.
I asked Ai why would he do such a crazy thing and to list the top 20 criticisms about them:
1. Blackstone contributes to the global housing crisis by massively inflating rents and using aggressive eviction tactics, treating housing as a commodity rather than a human right.
2. The firm profits from human misery during crises, like buying up foreclosed homes after the 2008 recession and exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic to acquire assets at fire-sale prices.
3. Blackstone engages in vulture capitalism, asset-stripping companies it acquires, loading them with debt, cutting jobs and benefits, and driving them into bankruptcy (e.g., Toys "R" Us, Sears).
4. As a landlord, it acts like a slumlord, ignoring maintenance issues like mold, leaks, and infestations while charging tenants exorbitant fees for minor repairs.
5. The company aggressively fights rent control laws, lobbying to block protections that could help tenants, worsening affordability in cities worldwide.
6. Blackstone uses "fairly aggressive" tax avoidance schemes, routing funds through offshore havens like Luxembourg and Jersey to dodge billions in taxes.
7. A portfolio company (Packers Sanitation Services) was caught employing over 100 children illegally in hazardous slaughterhouse cleaning jobs.
8. Investments in deforestation of the Amazon rainforest destroy ecosystems and indigenous communities for profit.
9. By hoarding single-family homes and renting them out, Blackstone makes homeownership impossible for young families, driving up prices and contributing to an 18% rise in U.S. homelessness.
10. Tenants face rapid evictions—even for payments just one minute late or due to the company's own system errors—prioritizing profits over people's stability.
11. After acquiring https://t.co/OdK0Z47DBZ, Blackstone gained access to millions' genetic data, raising alarms over privacy abuses and misuse without consent.
12. The firm exploits workers by slashing wages, hours, and benefits in acquired companies, treating employees as disposable to boost short-term gains.
13. Blackstone defaults on massive bonds (e.g., $562 million) and limits investor redemptions from funds, exposing financial instability in its real estate empire.
14. Close ties to controversial figures like Trump (funded by CEO Schwarzman) enable influence-peddling and policies that favor the ultra-wealthy.
15. In Sweden, it bought 20,000+ apartments, hiked rents dramatically, ignored quality complaints, then bailed, leaving communities in disarray.
16. Fined by the SEC for failing to disclose fees, effectively stealing from investors through hidden charges.
17. Uses predatory lending to seize control of struggling companies, then guts them for parts.
18. Buys up affordable housing only to re-list at inflated "market" rates, displacing low-income families and worsening inequality.
19. Employs rent-setting algorithms to maximize profits, colluding to keep rents artificially high across markets.
20. Overall, seen as a "modern-day robber baron" cannibalizing economies, destroying jobs, and prioritizing elite profits over human welfare.

🚨 ARE YOU AWARE: While the DOJ — at Trump’s bidding — hides the Epstein files, little if any attention is being paid to this: The U.S. Virgin Islands, acting independently from U.S. law enforcement, exposed Epstein’s international sex trafficking empire — and won a record $105M+ civil settlement in 2022 from his estate.
Their AG called it:
“An expansive criminal enterprise… where dozens of young women and children were trafficked, raped, sexually assaulted, and held captive.”
They named it the "Epstein Enterprise".
They froze accounts, forced the sale of Epstein’s private islands, and clawed back over $80M in fraudulent tax credits.
This case got next to zero headlines.
Why?
▶️ It didn’t come from the FBI.
▶️ It didn’t come from U.S. DOJ.
▶️ It came from a Black woman AG in a U.S. territory who did what the U.S. DOJ wouldn't do: expose the elite cover-up.
So we ask:
Where are the Virgin Islands Epstein files?
The documents. The photos. The logs.
We know they exist.
We demand their release.
