AI but not AI 😉

In a world where AI is linked to deceptions and illusions, it’s not an easy task to put out something that uses AI but is not made using AI.

Well Ngl, it’s made with AI - I mean it’s programmed with trained AI models Eg to be able to tell from your voice or your pulse that you are stressed or not ; so it’s made with AI.

BUT ITS NOT AI. - or quite Acurately ITS NOT MADE WITH AI.

The stress monitor is an AI project by Students of @kigezihigh ICT Club.
The prototype is powered by these YiiyaBots kits designed by us at @DopplerTechLTD

What’s YiiyaBots? Think about a Picfare Mathematical set, that aids calculating distance, drawing circles, triangles etc.

Quite honestly I don’t recall what the divider - that double pointed instrument used to do. Atleast I used it as Superman in P3 character because it looked like a man with 2 long legs.

YiiyaBots is like Picfare Mathematical set but for AI.

So it helps you to do AI stuff but it’s not AI.
And hey, it’s manufactured in Uganda.

Fellow Youth and Developmental Countrymen,

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hosting President elect of @UOXUganda H.E @GiftGrace01 at our 2nd General Assembly of the @Youth4SDGsUga for 2026.

The Youth Coalition for SDGs brings together SDG focused- youth led organisations & companies and operates under the auspices of the @OPMUganda @sdgs_ug and @UNinUganda.

As the Youth Sounding Board of the @UNinUganda , one of our tasks is to ensure that the youth voice reaches to the United Nations Country Team - all the 29 UN Agencies in Uganda.

I want to thank members who travelled from Kamwenge, Kagadi, WestNile and all parts of the country on their own cost just to make it to the General Assembly. This demonstrates both the interest and commitment to see a changed Uganda.🇺🇬

The meeting addressed bottlenecks in our Regional Senate following the example I gave that when an electric pole is broken, the “Yaka” Will not reach the house. Regardless of how much money you have, it will only be helpful to buy Yaka if you are connected.

This is our approach to #localise the #SDGs and ensure we Leave no one behind (every community on the Youth Coalition SDGs Grid) by using the Regional Senate to support and coordinate member initiatives.

On a developmental note, our members are doing various interventions in Health, Infrastructure and Innovation, Mental Health etc all aimed at making lives of Ugandans better.

I shared with the Special Guest and members what my company @DopplerTechLTD is doing to increase access to low cost AI tools and Skills.

The YiiyaBots, manufactured 100% in Uganda will ensure that a young student can now develop AI tools and solutions using locally sourced materials. Eg. The bottle caps which were formally waste can now be re-used to prototype AI & Robotics projects.

We ended our session with cake cutting to celebrate babies born in Jan - May.

Update by the minister of Energy Hon @NankabirwaRS on the progress of having first Ugandan Oil.

My question was simply that we have heard about oil for a very long time and this question is even more relevant given the hiking fuel prices in the country and across the world.

Thanks Dr. @ReachDrMuganga for this great proposal.

However the one child one laptop may not be an entirely best approach as it discourages team work. I have benchmarked Singaporean edStartups and I would recommend 4 Children - one laptop.
Then maybe StemKits like ones below.
