Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Additional Secretary, DoPT, along with officers and staff, took part in sanitation and plantation activities, turning collective participation into meaningful action for Swachhata.

The programme also featured a collective pledge to make cleanliness a shared responsibility, followed by the felicitation of sanitation workers in recognition of their contribution towards keeping our surroundings clean and healthy.

A delegation of the Central Secretariat Group-C Employees’ Association called on at the Department of Personnel & Training #DoPT headquarters at Kartavya Bhavan.

They were thankful for the frequent interactions undertaken with them and appreciated the manner in which the @narendramodi government has always responded to the employees' concerns with sensitivity and promptness. They also lauded the DoPT for having cleared over 23,000 promotion cases in the last twelve years.

The Government is keen to provide a work-friendly environment to employees so that they remain motivated and are able to discharge their responsibilities effectively. The inputs received from the employees on service and cadre-related matters are important and they should continue to bring these to our notice.

In today's meeting also, the representatives of the employees placed their inputs regarding cadre review and the existing cadre structure, seeking consideration of issues affecting career progression. They were assured that genuine issues raised by them would be looked into through the appropriate mechanism.

The @DoptGoI continues to strengthen support for the education and care of Divyang children of Central Government employees through progressive welfare measures.

The Children Education Allowance has been enhanced to ₹67,500 per year, while CEA and Hostel Subsidy have been extended to cover three classes before Class 1 through Class 12. Child-care support for women employees with disabilities has also been enhanced.

These measures reaffirm the commitment to inclusive education, dignity and equal opportunities.

#DadaSahebPhalke award to actor Anant Nag is not only a tribute to the veteran’s enduring career, but instantly takes one back to adolescent boyhood days when Anant Nag’s first Hindi film “Ankur” had created a countrywide stir of an altogether different dimension, never witnessed before.

Ankur, directed by Shyam Benegal in his directorial debut, was not only based on an offbeat story (which according to Benegal was inspired by a real life village incident) portraying an unequal exploitative affair between a feudal landowner’s wealthy son (played by Anant Nag) and a poor maid (brilliantly played by Shabana Azmi), but also heralded a trend of parallel Indian cinema in the last quarter of the 20th century.

Inter-Ministry Table Tennis Tournament 2026–27

The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board (CCSCSB) inaugurated the Inter-Ministry Table Tennis Tournament 2026–27 at the Table Tennis Hall, Siri Fort Sports Complex, New Delhi.

The inaugural event brought together Central Government employees from various Ministries and Departments, celebrating sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and a healthy competitive spirit. 🤝🏓

The tournament will continue with enthusiastic participation, as players showcase their skill, focus and determination across the scheduled matches.
