@GerardoV17Alt I do not understand why DC is pushing for less known characters. Despite rhetoric online, it is not feasible, especially in the current climate to prioritize these characters over ones that have a more likelihood of a return of investment. Hopefully Peter is discussing this
@Geo_AW Supergirl is like a C list character. Very surprised she got a movie so soon into the dcu. But yeah, I think she's better than what he had before, which were just superman gender bent characters
That is a shame. As a DC fan, I am not at all happy about this outcome, even though I wasn't a huge fan of the movie personally. I do find it disheartening to see so many people almost celebrating or being gleeful at this movie's failings. It's very strange.
@_TheSmartAlec1 I do think the gleeful reaction from some of the fanbase (and other fanbases) at the movie failing result in responses like that. A bunch of people fighting over a movie's success.
Not trying to get on an FBI watchlist but I wish every nation would have nuclear weapons. There would be far less war than there currently is if that were the case, especially since one small move would kill everyone.
I dont care about the first two but if Ellison does fire James Gunn, I do not at all believe it'll be for the better. While not amazing at his job, I do not trust David Ellison of all people to choose a better person.
Not even that, we could have dc film rights sold to the highest bidders and have a mess similar to spiderman across DC IP. I do not understand some of the glee at the potential failure of the DCU. This is literally the last chance DC has, especially with Paramount's debt.
@GerardoV17Alt Hopefully china will start seeing american movies again. The market has been lukewarm at best for the past five years for western films. I have no idea as to why.
@GerardoV17Alt You just cant hate paramount enough 😮💨 They will ruin the entertainment industry with their suspect business practices and purely politically motivated actions. I cannot believe the board even allowed the deal with the foreign influence of the Ellisons' funding.
I swear, if DC Studios becomes reactionary to this bomb, DC cinematic universes will never work. They must review on what failed and rework things for the future. They need to view things longterm, otherwise they'll just repeat the same mistakes.
@GerardoV17Alt I watched supergirl yesterday. While definitely mediocre, I would rather watch it than either of these two. Though I guess thats far from glowing praise.
