Boxing Day was fuller than Christmas for us.

Our Roads Policing Officers stopped numerous vehicles across Dorset today, with 4 being seized for document offences.

We also detained a driver who failed a drug test - earning them a long wait for potential court appearance in 2025

Our Roads Policing officers were out yesterday - and identified 7 uninsured vehicles, 3 vehicles without MOT'S, 3 careless drivers & 2 drivers speeding (one at 78mph in a 40 area)

Unfit Driver Detained in Poole

Today we helped an Ambulance who'd seen this car bouncing off kerbs on the wrong side of the road.

The driver struggled to stand & failed a drug wipe so was detained until sober, leaving with licence in doubt.

Driver arrested drunk in charge

Yesterday following a call to West Moors, we found a driver drunk in charge of a vehicle, with Class A drugs too.

Arrest: 2055hrs,
Sample: 2345hrs,
Result: 119ug of alcohol per 100ml breath - the limit is 35!

Driver arrested for drug driving in Ferndown

Yesterday, RPT officers stopped this vehicle being driven on the A31 for a seatbelt offence.

The driver returned a positive test for cannabis & now has a long wait to see if they keep thier licence.

We regularly assist hauliers moving large loads in Dorset as law requires - but Wednesday was different.

6 turbine blades from #Ringwood to #BereRegis over 3 extra long HGVs

Vehicle stopped carrying an un-sheeted load of soil. Turns out that he had almost 500kg more than he should on board. Fixed Penalty Notice issued and vehicle prohibited until excess offloaded.

A352 at East Stoke currently closed following Vehicle Fire. Recovery ongoing. No injuries and swift work by @DWFireRescue getting the fire under control.

Driver charged in #Boscombe

Whilst stopped with a vehicle, another passed with this severly damaged wheel making significant noise.

The driver then gave a positive breath test & provided an evidential sample at custody of 89ug per 100ml breath - legal limit is 35ug

Op Carriage removes unsafe taxis

We joined @BournemouthPol & @BCPCouncil licensing officers in enforcement of laws for licensed & unlicensed taxis in #Bournemouth.

Numerous vehicles stopped, 2 instantly removed from service due to defects or document issues.
