And in the end, the United States Constitution will prevail. Mostly because of the will of our citizens and also the people of the world. America is the shining light and it shall never be dimmed
Bite's popping coast to coast today: Chinook and coho stacking the Lewis and Cowlitz in SW Washington, stripers blitzing bunker on the Chesapeake, and San Diego's long-range fleet loading up on yellowfin and dorado. Get out there. #FishingReport
Moms and dads, your child's pediatrician should be able to answer these questions:
What is your policy on obtaining full parental consent and involvement before any medical decision is made for a child? Does this consent refer to any “gender affirming care” referrals, social transition support, or treatment of any form of transgender care for kids?
Do you follow AAP guidelines on “gender affirming care?” Do you take into account recent independent evidence reviews such as those highlighting weak evidence for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, potential long-term risks to children, and the need for caution with medical interventions?
Does your practice provide parents with complete access to all information requested regarding my child’s appointments, records, treatment plans, or discussions?
Will you commit to never making or encouraging decisions about my child’s gender identity or reproductive care without my direct, informed involvement and consent?
If they can't, find a new pediatrician!!!
I know people that haven't really moved anywhere in 5 years. I don't mean physically relocated. I mean they haven't moved emotionally, situationally, intellectually, spiritually etc... they are just kind of stuck. They aren't bad people at all. Have jobs, have lives etc... But they haven't really moved at all.
It's not an indictment of them or anything but I think it's really natural for us to sort of slide into immobility. We get comfortable or are just fine and if we don't have an outside impetus we sort of end up stationary and stuck.
We have to make ourselves move in whatever way we want to move. We have to push ourselves. We have to keep ourselves always moving and growing. It's easier to stop, but I don't think it's best for us. We have to keep growing.
@komonews The premium increases for the 200,000 Washingtonians were driven by the end of temporary COVID-era supplements that expired on schedule. The problem is the ACA, not Trump or the Republicans.
Hey Washington, get your ballots in by Tuesday. We can turn this state around, starting with the Supreme Court. We haven’t had an opportunity like this in years.
Seventy-two. That is how many separate wounds John Cruickshank had in him, two of them through his lungs, while he lined up a burning flying boat for a second run at a U-boat that had just shot his aircraft to pieces. Most men have one of those wounds and they are finished. He had seventy-two and he pressed the attack.
He was 24, a former bank clerk from Aberdeen, flying a Catalina flying boat out of the Shetland Islands with Coastal Command. The job was the long, freezing, mind-numbing patrol, fourteen hours over the grey Atlantic hunting the U-boats that were strangling Britain. On the 17th of July 1944, far out over empty water, they caught one on the surface, U-361, and Cruickshank took the big slow flying boat down to attack.
The first run failed. The depth charges would not release. Any sane man makes a note and turns for home. Cruickshank swung the aircraft around and came back for a second pass, low and straight, and this time the submarine's gunners were waiting. Flak ripped through the Catalina. It killed the navigator, wounded half the crew, and tore into Cruickshank again and again, those seventy-two wounds, two punching into his lungs, ten into his legs.
And he flew the attack home anyway. Bleeding everywhere, in agony, with the fuselage holed and on fire, he held the aircraft dead level, aimed, and released the depth charges himself. They straddled the U-boat perfectly. It broke apart and sank beneath him.
Then came the part that should have killed him. He collapsed from blood loss, and the wounded co-pilot, who had never landed a Catalina, took the controls for the long flight back. Cruickshank refused the morphine that would have knocked him out, because he knew the man flying needed him. Drifting in and out, he had himself carried back up to the cockpit again and again through the night to help nurse the shot-up aircraft down, and at dawn they got it onto the water safely. He had lost so much blood the doctors said he had no business being alive.
He lived. He took the Victoria Cross from the King, went quietly back to banking after the war, and rarely spoke of it. And he kept on living, and living, and living. John Cruickshank died in 2025 at the age of 105, the last man on earth wearing a Victoria Cross earned in the Second World War. Seventy-two wounds over the Atlantic, and he outlasted every other hero of that war by decades.
This is “environmentalist” Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht. It’s 87 feet longer than a football field. It burns over 1100 gallons of fuel per hour.
In a college commencement speech he urged students to help “stop climate change before we destroy the planet” as one of the defining issues for their generation.
Either he doesn’t really think man made Climate Change is a problem, or he’s one of the biggest selfish narcissistic assholes the world has ever produced.
These are the same people who say we should live in 15 minute cites, use electric stoves, drive electric scooters & eat bugs.
Whatever these Billionaires say, I’m doing the opposite., https://t.co/cAgw3TOFKf
Out of 16.4 million Americans who served in WWII, only about 40,000 are still alive.
They’re dying at a rate of ~100 per day.
These are the heroes who saved the world from tyranny.
Find one. Thank one. Listen to their stories.
While you still can.
@RearAdBsBlog Caps fan here. Both these teams match up in style so well. It’s going to be elite hockey at the highest level ever played in a finals. Really looking forward to every minute.
Couldn’t give a damn about where either team is located, especially as neither are Canadian.
The state of Washington closes your camp sites on public land while spending $150m on state funded Medicaid for illegals covering all their primary care, emergency, dental, and vision. They also spend $20m a year on free lawyers for illegals. They also spent $30m that we know of on housing, food, education, and jobs programs for illegals (according to DSHS) and during covid spent $400m on an immigrant relief fund for cash payouts to illegals (to be fair lots of federal cash was used on this). But yes, let’s keep closing public land access and handing out freebies to illegals. Perfect!
@MrsAmericanVGov My grandmother ate bacon and buttered toast sandwiches everyday in England. She lived to be 100. Granted the English bacon was different back in the day with no nitrates.
